The Kite Runner

Read the book and the movie was tight to my recall ability. Thought it was written well, and the movie, well......even better I'd say. A very human story in the middle of a chaos of human suffering. Not about Islam, not about War, about friends, regrets, and family, and above all, Love. I found it ever present throughout the film/book. That's the glue for the players. and for the Author, proud to be from Kabul, proud of such a fine Father, and losing them, to a new life, finds a new start, in a new World, but with the seed stock of his old World. Loved how well this fabric was woven.

I just read the book before watching this film adaptation. Overall, this was a generally faithful adaptation of the book. The major themes of the book are brought out effectively in the film adaptation. One shortcoming of the film, however, is in the way it portrays an adoption process. The film portrays it as cut and dry, whereas it was far more difficult in the book.

A movie that impacts all human emotion when dealing with some tough subject matters. It makes you glad to realize good people do exist in all cultures. The choice to love makes every difference. I saw many 5-star ratings on this movie, and agree.....5 star.

This is a must watch/have movie. My hubby and I 1st read the book and Wow.. what a touching story. Well then we found out there was a movie and we had to watch it... get your tissues it's a very touching movie.

Very emotional movie. It's a must see. Had my husband and I in years.

Great movie got for my older he is reading the book for ap history and the price is good for a regular dvd

Honest & honorable!!!

Unfortunately the dvd came from America I think and is not compatible with my television. Needs a different connection.

Product came quickly and was as described. I like the authenticity of this movie in relation to the book version if the story. The parts where speakers were speaking their ethnic language ( Pashtun perhaps?) had English subtitles which for me lent to the authenticity. They deal with the delicate scenes in an authentic way but without being offensive in terms of the audience’s sensibilities.

Loved the movie just as much as the book
