Good book about purchasing a stair lift
This is an excellent book for anyone contemplating a stair lift. It sets up good questions for you to ask whoever you're buying from and explains the differing offers. I'm glad I found it.

Some Very Useful Information
I skipped most of the first part of the book, however, the discussion regarding the different types of systems and the list of companies was very useful.

I didn't find it very useful.
Its basically a promo for a company that sells installed new rebranded stairlifts. 1/3 of the book is just a pep talk to encourage people to think about stairlifts in a positive way, enough to buy one. If you need to be talked into getting a stairlift in the first place, maybe this is your book. There are a few pages on drive systems I found interesting, but that's about it. I didn't find it very useful. At one point it emphasizes that one way to judge how good a stair lift is is by looking at how long the manufacturer will warranty it for, then the author says he would have provided a comparison of the different warranties of the different manufacturers in the book, but he chose to do this online so the data could be right up to date. Then he gives a web page address. The page doesn't exist. If you want to get an idea of how little is in this book, visit the publishers website, i.e. Nationwide Lifts and go to the stair lifts articles page and take a look at totally uninformative article after totally uninformative article.
