Very impressed for the size and price
This is a damn fine little bluetooth speaker. I'm sure it's not going to be as good on sound quality as something twice the size in every dimension and costing 4+ times as much, but at this size-and-price point it's really impressive. There is audible bass, but obviously not seriously thumping given the size of the thing. Detail is there in the highs without sounding cheap or harsh - it passes my standard "Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue" test for enjoyable listening well, if not spectacularly. Does a decent job with dance music too.Volume goes pretty high (much more than I had expected from the size) and the volume curve is really good at the low-end. You can turn this down to being VERY quiet and have quite a few steps at the quiet end - would be ideal if you wanted to stick this under a pillow and fall asleep to music in bed. It does the modern bluetooth-speaker thing where the volume buttons on the speaker adjust "the same volume control" as the ones on the phone do (rather than the speaker having its own "volume setting" separate to the source).Build is plastic and feels very solid, with the top buttons being designed-in flex in the continuous case plastic, rather than a silicone rubber panel. Black metal grille on the front looks neat and doesn't have much give so it should protect the innards pretty well against most day-to-day use and maybe even occasional small drops. Doesn't need a carry-case unless you want to stop it getting turned on in the bottom of a bag, I'd reckon. The side flap which covers the micro-usb charge port and 3.5mm aux-in socket is very secure and seals pretty seriously, so I don't doubt the waterproofing claims. If you have short fingernails, you might need to use something to help lever it open, but I think that's far better than it falling open easily and risking drowning the internals.Buttons are nice and simple - power, bluetooth-pair (handy to have it so obvious, if you want to quickly switch which device it's paired to, without trying to remember a complicated trick), volume down and up, play-pause. The only track-control is Skip To Next (double-press the Play button) - holding volume up/down just keeps changing the volume. Fine by me, I like simple. It comes with an obligatory short micro-USB cable to charge it up, if you happen to need that. It's nice, it's red, it's probably going in my travel-electronics bag as I've already got a gadget-charging station set up.This is a "first day" review, so there might be issues which haven't come to light yet. If any disappointments crop up in the future, I'll try to remember to come back and edit.

Remarkable audio from a box this small.
I am only in the first hour or so of using this device but I am already impressed and as it is doing all and everything I bougt it for, as long as it keeps it up, no reason to change my view. It's tiny but listening to Lee Ritnour's band at one of his many Java Jazz festival appearances, I can't understand the statement by CNet's review that there's no bass. There is! In fact the EQing favours low end more than top end. This doesn't surprise me, considering the sort of music that will mostly be put thru' this thing. It's the difference beween a Fender Strat and Gibson Les Paul, played clean. The LP sound is thicker and warmer against the Strat's bell-like chime. What we have here is the Gibson sound rather than Fender.I'm delighted with it. It paired with two mobile phones instantly. Regrettably I have work to do to get it paired with my laptop but that is entirely down to Windows 10 being obstructive.Addendum. I take it back about W10 being obstructive. To the surprise of myself and techie mate, this laptop has no Bluetooth. So it has to be connect to the GO with a 3.5mm cable. This has worked fine for just going on a year. Now the inpt socket has gone iffy and the jack needs wiggling in and out by fractions of a mm to get a signal thru' These faults never get better, only worse. Nice Mr Amazon.co.uk is sending me a new one! Returm postage of this one, from France, to be refunded! Result. It pys to buy stuff from Amazon before considering Mkt Place sellers

Not bad for the money
Bought this on offer in black for £19.99. Having bought similar priced mini speakers in the past I wasn't expecting much from such a small package. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Ok not a lot of bass compared to some of my other Bluetooth speakers, but they are larger and more expensive. However, it's easily listenable and didn't feel like it was overdriving it to have at a comfortable listening level. It's not going to be a party speaker, but that's not what it's for. A definite improvement on the lap top speakers, phone etc and worth the money. As is sometimes the case when watching a film connected by Bluetooth to headphones or speakers, there can be lag on the sound to the action on the screen, which is where the media input jack is necessary. This is recessed in the side, so a slim fit 3.5mm jack is required. My current lead was too fat, so I've ordered a 1ft slim lead. I also bought a case to go with it that holds the speaker, usb lead and the jack lead all in a nice little package.

Would buy again!
I had the older model of this and loved it. As you would expect, the battery eventually gave up so I was on the hunt for a new speaker. I was so impressed with the first version I decided to get the new model. I was not disappointed. It looks great and sounds great. It is a handy little speaker you can take anywhere with you. I use it in the bathroom, garden, allotment, weekends away, holidays etc. I have even taken it into work to use in some of my classes when doing music quizzes (and the sound fills the room on around half volume). It’s a resilient design so mine still looks brand new even after months of being dragged about with me. I would highly recommend this speaker if you are looking for a speaker with decent sound quality that is easy to transport. Only thing I could think some people might see as a negative is that it doesn’t go really, really loud. Although it goes loud enough for me! I can sing along at full pelt and still hear the music over the top of my voice!!! 😂 You get a lot of value for your money with this speaker.
