RingConn Gen 2, World’s First Smart Ring with Sleep Apnea Monitoring

I love my ring. It not only looks great but it gives me health info in a very easy to use App (which you don't have to pay for, like some rings). After having it for 6 months it started needing more regular charging so i contacted RingConn through the App and the customer service was excellent. They sent me a replacement ring immediately and their email correspondence throughout was amazing. I have had no issues with my replacement ring. It lasts 11 days on a charge :)

I’d had this ring for several months and raved about it to everyone that saw it shining happily on my finger. It’s great - measures everything, so much easier than a watch. I charge it every 10/11 days, does everything you want, sleep monitoring without the intuitive nature of my Apple Watch, heart, exercise - even sleep apnea. Couldn’t have asked for more. If I’d reviewed then, would have been 5 starts without question. Indeed, this is probably why there are so many 4 and five star reviews that you’ve read. However The problems began, some what ironically for me, a couple of weeks after the 1 year warranty. Well I say that, but that’s really when I noticed the significance of the slowly eroding battery life. It probably started earlier, but I was in denial. So like many, I only admitted I had a problem at this point as I sadly accepted the that the re-charge was about a week - no longer 10/11 days heydays. I reached out to customer support, and their helpful automated agent basically told me I was out of lock and out of warranty. Efficient use of automation by customer support there, managing to get rid of me without involving any form of human interaction - nice… Ticking on a few weeks, the battery continues to degrade. Shame. What was once the amazing item I raved about to anyone and everyone who would listen, has become a shining embarrassment to the longevity (or lack of) of lithium batteries. Shame. Luckily I have the fallback of my Apple Watch 4, which is still going strong, and lasting as long as its first day. Same for my iPhone, and every other battery powered device I bought over the last few years. Perhaps Apple use a better supply of lithium- who knows… So in summary, be prepared for a fabulous few months, perhaps even a whole year, then watch the sad slow death of your shiny little friend, while trying (for me almost every day now) to eek out some final throws of life before the inevitable opening of the pearly gates of silicon heaven, and that sad, sad goodbye… Added a photo to show where it sadly likes to spend too much of its time now….

Have worn everyday since purchase, very pleased with the results actually seem to sleep better as well as its monitored, spo2 , exercise, pulse, something called HRV etc. This review doesn’t do the product justice but no monthly payment and does what I wanted most of all monitors my sleep apnoea for that alone it’s 5star , best purchase I’ve made.(obviously at the wife’s insistence).

I’ll review the ring first. I was very pleased with it but after six months it started to have a few issues with connection. Up until then I was very happy with the accuracy of the stats and ease of use. It looks good too. The company were marvellous! I contacted them when it first started to play up and we worked together to try and find out what was wrong. Their level of communication was excellent and I received almost immediate replies to my messages. They were able to track my ring via the app and suggested ways to help. In the end though nothing worked and they offered me a full replacement. This is now working perfectly I would highly recommend this company for their excellent customer service

I am only interested in sleep monitoring not fitness tracking. I have had five smart watches, a tracker band, two smart rings and they all failed after a short period of time. One was even reporting my heart rate when the watch was 200 miles from where I was. I ordered this one as last attempt to find something that work for me. After two months it still working and reporting on my sleep pattern. The sleep apnea is useful but if find the nightly timeline of most use. I has highlighted impact that external factors such as food types can have on my quality of sleep. time will tell how long the right continues to function but so far very pleased with it

I purchased the RingConn 2 10 months ago and have been very pleased with it so far. Then a few days ago, I started having issues with it with no data being logged. I've tried resetting it as advised by RingConn and disconnecting and reconnecting from Bluetooth. Now, today, I've noticed that the battery has decayed by 45% during the day. I'm awaiting a response from RingConn, but it looks like they may have battery problems. I'll update if they can sort it, or replace it.

Good points The ring fits well, is good quality and the battery, so far, is lasting for 12 days before needing to be recharged. The app is useful and info is easy to read. Not so good points Some of the data is poor. The sleep tracking is next to useless. It doesn't record when I fall asleep before going to bed and records be being awake during the night when I'm definitely not. The stress data is also hopeless. It me being most stressed in the evenings when I am completely relaxed in the evenings, having dinner and a glass or to of wine, hence my sleeping before going to bed ;o) Finally I don't believe the steps count in the activity tracker, it records steps when I'm not walking but doing other activities. Would I buy another? Not at this price, or even half the price.

This is my second Gen 2 Ringconn. Do not let that put you off. I bought my first a year ago, second hand, and I have worn it literally every day since. In the shower, swimming, cycling, at work, while sleeping. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Last week the battery stopped holding any charge and I contacted Ringconn hoping it could be saved. They were great, and even offered me an exchange if I had an official purchase order number, which sadly I didn't as I got it second hand.... so I ordered a shiny new one! Since my first ring helped me so much with my health I even got a size smaller, which is great! The Gen 2 is robust but stylish and very comfortable to wear. It looks like a simple but stylish band, which goes with pretty much all my outfits, it connects easily to the app, and best of all- the battery lasts up to 12 days! The app is free to use (unlike some other companies) and accurately tracks pulse, sleep, and activity. The new auto-sense feature for tracking activity works surprisingly well, and I look forward to it being expanded in the future. It also offers sleep apnoea monitoring, which is what first made me pick this brand over others- I am diagnosed with sleep apnoea and I use the ring once every couple of months to make sure it's not getting worse. It's surprisngly accurate with it, and helps me feel more secure about monitoring my condition so I can contact my dr for advice if things change. Overall, I LOVE this ring, and I am looking forward to another year or more with my new one.

My battery has started to fail. I charged it regularly.

My ring has been great for 12 months then it has stopped charging. An expensive conn! And there is no way of contacting the supplier😖🫣😳

Ich habe den RingConn Gen 2 letzten Donnerstag in Betrieb genommen und bin bisher richtig begeistert. 😍 Der Ring ist angenehm zu tragen und die Aufzeichnungen funktionieren super zuverlässig. Was mich besonders beeindruckt, ist die Akkulaufzeit: Nach mehreren Tagen Nutzung habe ich tatsächlich noch 65 % Akku! Damit hätte ich ehrlich gesagt nicht gerechnet. 👍 Auch die Auswertungen finde ich sehr interessant und übersichtlich. Man bekommt einen schönen Überblick über die eigenen Werte und kann dadurch seinen Alltag und Schlaf noch einmal ganz anders beobachten. Für mich bisher ein wirklich toller Ring, der hält, was er verspricht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und gespannt, welche Erfahrungen ich noch damit sammeln werde. 😊 Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Goes above and beyond expectations. Relieved I didn’t waste my time with the rings that have subscription costs, because this does it all with no ongoing costs.

I am revising my original review because RingConn ultimately provided me with a second replacement ring, even though my original warranty period had already expired. I purchased my RingConn in February 2025. Within the first year, the original ring developed a serious battery issue and would discharge within approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. After troubleshooting with RingConn support, they replaced it with a brand-new ring. Unfortunately, that replacement later developed essentially the same problem. Once removed from the charger, it would discharge within a few hours and die. At that point, I was understandably very frustrated. Two separate rings had failed, including the brand-new warranty replacement, and I no longer had much confidence in the hardware reliability. However, I want to give RingConn credit for how they ultimately handled it. Even though they initially told me the order was outside the refund period and warranty, after reviewing the repeated battery failure they agreed to send me another new replacement ring at no cost. So my experience has been mixed. When the product works, I genuinely like it. The app UI is excellent, the tracking and data are useful, and the overall functionality is very well designed. It is one of the better wearable experiences I have used from a software standpoint. My concern remains long-term hardware reliability. Having two rings develop similar battery failures is difficult to ignore. At the same time, RingConn did ultimately stand behind the product and replaced the second failed unit even though the original warranty had expired, which I think is worth acknowledging. I am now using the second replacement and will update this review again if anything changes. Excellent software and functionality. Questionable hardware reliability in my experience, but very good customer support in ultimately resolving the issue.
