Great value!!!
This unit was great, it is a lot bigger than expected. Also get very hot, but not extremely hot (I consider that a good thing). I got 5 of them for my church, and we are able to fit about 12 different dishes on all of them. We had a 5lb lasagna dish and still had plenty of room. The adjustable knob was very nice, feels sturdy, and looks sharp. Considering price, heat, surface area, looks, and ease to clean; it truly is a no brainer. Buy it.

Not even one year.
This tray stopped working yesterday, one month shy of a complete year since I purchased it in 2011. Would I recommend this or purchase this product again. Definitely not!

Quality not what I expected.
I was hoping some of the other reviews were just bad luck on their part. Well, if it was bad luck it came my way also. The Unit is a nice looking unit and heats up well. Will help keep dishes warm when serving at parties. Like others the feet didn't sit well on the counter top. I ended up removing two of the rubber feet and installing stainless steel washers under them. That corrected the rocking problem. Even though the unit came packaged very well, the metal underside was dented and bent up. It had to come off the line like this as the egg crate really had it packed well. I guess I expected better quality control from Cuisinart. Should not have to work on a brand new appliance as soon as it is removed from the box.

Good product
I originally purchased three to replace chaffing racks which have the awful smell of sterno. My only complaint was that the electric cords were too short. It's not about having extension cords on the table and the led light on the display is bad enough. The platter looked stylish on the table but I would have preferred that controls were more hidden and that the light could not be seen so as not to detract from a dressed table. If that stuff does not bother you then the item is excellent and kept food, even food in dishes with legs, very warm.

Perfection!
This product is excellent, EXCELLENT! The size is just right. If it were round, it would be too cumbersome. If it were larger, it would be difficult to manage and not as usable in different space constraints on tables and counter tops. If it were smaller, it would be less functional. I love the size. The cord length is three feet long and reaches all my outlets from my countertops and side tables. The rubber legs keep it from sliding if bumped and raise the unit up about an inch. The side handles are firmly attached with no give or wobbliness. The control setting is simple to use and easy to see. And the surface --- HOW NICE!!! It is glassy and smooth. It heats evenly across the entire surface and heats up quickly. I love using it with a plate of appetizers and my glass teapot for instant hot beverages. I LOVE this product and would hate to be without it. Thank you so much, Amazon, for carrying it.

NOT CUISINART QUALITY!
The actual function of this warming tray is perfectly fine. What I did not appreciate is that one of the legs is slightly shorter than the other three, and of course there is no way to adjust the height. It's an easy fix to put something under the leg, but I didnt buy a high end product so I would have to play with it every time I use it.

Cuisinart Warming Tray
Great product. although instructions state to keep at 120 degrees, that is just initially, not if you are keeping items warmm for a long period of time. Does tend to burn the bottom of item if kept @120 degrees.

Perfect for Shabbat
Cooking is not allowed on Shabbat, but keeping cooked food warm during Shabbat (and in some cases, warming up cooked food that is cold) is not only permissible, but considered part of the mitzvah of making Shabbat a delight. There are three techniques one can use to keep food warm. The first option is to use a "blech" (from the German by way of Yiddish word for tin or sheet metal). It is a metal sheet used by many observant Jews to cover stovetop burners (and for some, the knobs/dials too) on Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath), as part of the precautions taken to avoid violating the halachic prohibition against cooking on the Sabbath. The burners under the 'blech' can be set to low and will stay on throughout the sabbath. Food that is already cooked can be placed on top of the 'blech' and warmed.Another option is to set the oven to a very low temperature (200 Degrees F)and put casseroles and pots with food in the oven to keep them warm. The third option is to use an electric warming tray. This warming tray was purchased for the purpose of keeping food warm on Shabbat. The temperature stays low enough that food cannot be cooked, but warm enough to keep food warm, especially nice on a cold, winter night. The tray is well made, and easy to clean. It is also large enough to keep several dishes warmed. Overall, an excellent tray that met our needs perfectly.
