This 4-pc (4 actual Pliers) set is a good value for the price. They are well labeled (most common two snap ring hole sizes) and tell you how they are to be used with a nice, basic description. This 4-pc set even comes with a black plastic blow molded case. I have reservations in giving this set a full 5-star rating because I don't know these would hold up well enough for the professional; someone assembling and disassembling snap rings daily. For the occasional user, however, I would recommend this set. It takes the mystery out of working with snap ringed components, absolutely. The individual Pliers all look to be heat treated / hardened. They provide a safe, effective and even efficient means for working with snap rings. For smaller snap ring shaft and groove diameter sizes, perhaps up to 40mm, this is a good value...for the occasional user. This set certainly helped me in a recent Tuff Torq Riding Mower transmission (Hydrostatic Fluid) maintenance task. I am an occasional user of snap ring type assemblies and certainly not a professional; not someone depending on that tool to do their daily job. I will find out more about this 4-pc snap ring Pliers set soon on another project: replacing the AC Magnetic Clutch on my 2010 Mazda5. This is a perfect Pliers size (7-inch) for dozens of snap ring assembly / disassembly tasks, again, for smaller machine assembly applications and particularly for the DIY'er. If what I've written resonates with you, then purchase this 4-pc Snap Ring Pliers set. While the overall quality is not "professional grade", this set could easily meet your own actual needs. I found the grip to be good. I also found this set to be easy to use. As with ANY snap ring application, work very carefully. I would recommend also wearing eye protection. That's just the basic nature of working with snap rings, including the professional mechanic.

These are a nice sturdy set with a nice fine points. You should have no lock ring problems.

I ordered this pliers set to rebuild the forks on my motorcycle. They did exactly what I needed them to do. I've used them for so much more than that. I highly recommend these.

Not very durable. They are cheap

This set was perfect for reaching deep into a pole saw shaft to remove a snap ring. Well made and nice case. Shipping was good also, on time and no issues.
