Hot and Delicious
I don't consider myself a "chile head" but I do like the occasional hot food. I purchased this because I was looking for a sauce that incorporated the Carolina Reaper and this one had pretty good reviews. The flavor and smell of the sauce is excellent. The heat is very strong in my opinion. You want to take it easy your first use until you determine what amount you can handle. I would say the heat would be ok for a hardcore chile head. For an occasional hot sauce user, it is very hot. For a person who only uses texas pete or tabasco, this sauce will set their mouths on fire. The bottom line it has great heat WITH good flavor.

Table it. Right beside the salt and pepper.
I've been into the more extreme natural peppers for a while, now. That doesn't account for much. But, honestly, those saying it's not overly hot would be correct. You could probably sell this stuff in a tub like salsa. That would be nice, seeing as how it's good enough to do exactly that. The flavor is of the charts in a positive way. I probably doused about a 1/4 of a bottle on a fried chicken breast. I am here writing this review, contemplating buying a bottle ahead of Christmas postal rush; so as to not be without. It's certainly more reminiscent of a jar salsa than your typical smooth hot sauce. With the roasted vegetables. But, I think you'll find something on most every menu, that you could just lather in the stuff. Don't buy this sauce because it says Carolina Reaper and expect a beyond next level burn. Buy it because you want something everyday hot, and flavorful, that isn't sriracha.

Don't Let The 4 Stars Fool You, This Is Top-Notch Sauce
Let me start by saying I LOVE this stuff. It's easily one of the best hot sauces I've had yet. The reason for my 4 star rating is because I believe most people are frivolous with their 5 stars; handing them out willy-nilly for mediocrity, like giving kids trophy's for games they didn't win. This stuff would have to be the Pappy Van Winkle of hot sauces to get 5 stars from me. Even with as much as I love it. Think of it as having McQueen's Bullitt Mustang when your searching for an original Shelby AC Cobra. You love what you got, but you're looking for the best. One of the great things about Mama Choo is that you get an outstanding flavor before the heat kicks in. I could seriously use this stuff with every meal. It's slightly sweet but not sugary. It's got great complexity and balance. As far as the heat, it's got a nice slow build that won't kill your meal. The first couple of bites let you enjoy the flavor, THEN the spark becomes a fire. When you start to feel it, it's like "awww yeah... there's that burn that I love". Please note: if you're a thrill-seeker, eating this sauce WILL NOT test that fine line between masculinity and stupidity. You'll have to look elsewhere if you want to test your mettle. Although the average person who doesn't normally partake of lava-based food will find this to be a scorching sauce choice. It is definitely my hot sauce of choice until I find that holy grail.

Flavor with some heat
I have gone through quite a few bottles of this one. I have given them as gifts and share it at work. Everyone loves this hot sauce.I found some bottles seem hotter than others-or maybe my tolerance is going up.There's a slight sweetness to it, the flavor doesn't seem to last long unfortunately.I estimate the heat level at about 35,000 Scoville.I think the reaper pepper has the best flavor of any of the really hot peppers, along with a different kind of heat that is much more enjoyable. This sauce is a good step into that flavor without melting your face and anus.

This sauce is pretty great!First thing I did when I got it was put a big dollop on a chip and eat it. Taste is 5/5, clear vinegar base, nice sharp clean notes.Unfortunately, for a reaper sauce, it's really weak in the spice aspect. Don't take this as me saying it's not hot, it certainly is. But I would put it around 50k scoville which is pretty tame for a heat seeker like myself, but will probably be a bit much for most people.I have since put this sauce on eggs, wings, and in buffalo chicken dip, and it totally holds up to pretty much any applicationTLDR good sauce, but not as hot as I would like

A delightful combination of habaneros and carolina reapers makes this sauce ultra hot, yet very tasty. The lack of vinegar is a huge plus for those of us who love really spicy but can't stand lots of vinegar - those of us who won't use tabasco sauce (which is mostly vinegar), but will lovingly eat habanero-stuffed olives :) The name and label will fool many folks into thinking this is some kind of Chinese Soy Sauce - perhaps the makers should consider a bit of relabeling. Do tell your friends to taste a tiny drop before sloshing it on their food - or not - <grin>.

My Husband's Favorite Hot Sauce!
My husband is somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to spicy/hot sauces. At least I think so! I've gotten many different sauces for him to try over the years, and this is his very favorite. He would describe it as moderately hot, while for me, it's way too hot to try other than a dot on my food. It has a very nice flavor and isn't so hot that that's all you taste. Give it a try!
