Modern Classics: Book 2

It was a basic cookbook but not up to the standard of her later books. Attractive pictures and clear instructions. Might be ideal for someone new to baking/cooking

I saw Donna Hay on Masterchef Australia and was mightily impressed by her. There are loads of brilliant cakes in this book that I just want to make. All the cakes are classics and this book gives easy steps in which to produce them yourselves. Sit and drool or get up and bake. I highly recommend it.

a mix of classics and simple foods to be enjoyed by all with easy cooking, just like Nigella! comfort foods and desserts which are deliecious but lots of new ingredients like almond meal but delicious, especially the blueberry muffins!

I'm not a fan of Donna Hay at all, but these recipes are all ready to follow and the ones I've tried had great results. The blueberry muffin recipe is especially good, and my 4yo was able to make them. There's a very good range of cakes and desserts too, all presented very simply without life story introductions etc.
