Satisfied buyer
If you're like me, you're thinking about buying this kit for the lens hood. Well I must say, never ever have I ever been this excited about leaving feedback. This review is primarily on the rubberized lens hood. The qualityAt first I was skeptic about getting a rubberized lens hood because I feared it would have been made from "cheapo" material. I was more than happy to find out that this wasn't the case! I'm 100% satisfied with the quality of the material used for it is both durable and light weight. The designAre you going to mount it on a wide angle lens? Are you worried about vignetting? Rest assured! The makers at Altura anticipated this and made the lens hood retractable. What this means is that you won't have to remove the lens hood to take a wide angle shot. If you're familiar with the Gary Fong lightsphere, its the same concept. You're able to push both ends of the lens hood together to reduce its length. This was tested with a 18mm lens and I had no interference from the hood at all. Also with the lenshood compressed, I find it easy to store the camera in my bag with it attached.Attaching it to the lensI've also found it to be at little tedious to attach my other lens hoods, more specifically the petal shaped hoods(one is included), because of the need to manually adjust it's orientation using the thin rotating disc at the back. I guess that's one of the disadvantages of going third party. With the rubberized lens hood you simple simple twist until it's fastened to your lens. The priceKeep my money! That was $11 well spent. The other stuffI haven't really gotten a chance to look at the other stuff included (cleaning brush, microfiber and uv filter) but at a glance they seem to be of the same quality.

High quality and value but may not be suitable for wide angle lenses or wide angle settings on zooms
High quality, great value, but hoods may cut off corners on wide angle lenses or at lower end of zoom. The original hood for my Panasonic DMC-FZ200 broke (a terrific camera by the way!). Purchasing on OEM hood would set me back $30 which seems ridiculous for a small piece of plastic, so I thought I'd take a chance on this since the financial risk was small and figured that chances are at least one of the two hoods would work. The threading fits my 52 mm lens perfectly, but the corners of the image are cut off until I zoom to about 1.5x. This is true for both hoods. I had hoped to avoid the problem with the collapsible hood in the collapsed position, but even then corners are cut off. Also, the OEM hood can be screwed onto the lens backwards to store it, but that is not possible with either of these hoods.Since my lens range is 25-600mm, I'm guessing that the problem exists until about 37mm. So I'm going to have to bite the bullet and shell out another $30 to get the OEM version. Too bad, because otherwise the quality of these items is quite good.

I am COMPLETELY happy with my purchase!
Great product! My two favorite items are the Tulip lens hood and the UV screen filter. First, the hood, to my surprise, it was different from my other lens hood in that it screws on the inside of the lens instead of the light screw/turn on the outside of the lens. I find that by screwing it on the inside of the lens, it's a lot more secure, I like that. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall of at some point. Now, the UV filter. The build quality on the filter is just AMAZING!! It's made out of a metal ring instead of a hard plastic like I thought it was probably going to. Now, not saying that hard plastic doesn't feel sturdy or is good quality, but the metal... it just feel WAY more secure and high quality. All the other stuff is nice too. The rubber lens hood os great for if you need to pack your stuff in a small bag and you think you might need one, it pulls in and gets pretty compact so that's a plus definitely. All in all, a GREAT purchase and I plan on coming back! I just got a new lens and the diameter is wider than my other lenses so, the lens hood won't fit on it!

Great deal
Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm lensFor the price the items are a great deal and fit the lens perfectly. It comes with 2 hoods a rubber hood which is the one I use since I can reduce it or increase the hood exposure. I give it 5 stars because of the price BUT with the hoods and the lens at 18mm you can see the hood on the corners of the picture. I was not expecting this perhaps Im a novice. If I zoom just a little they will go away but this is something I will have to work on to figure a solution. Regarding picture quality there was a great distinction and I will perhaps post the before and after pictures. The hood provided a deeper richer color and no glare which is what it is there for so it did the job. I really like the set up as it provides a glass lens cover to protect your lens and 2 different hoods as well as a cleaning multi tool. AWESOME

Good deal, The rubber hood is wotrh the price by itself. Beware the plastic hood that has weak plastic threads.
The rubber hood is nice and has a metal threaded ring(mine was 52mm) and good rubber so you can push it back out of the way for wide angle shots where it would otherwise be seen in the shot as vignetting. The rubber does *NOT* have that deadly Chinarubber smell. The hard plastic tulip hood has no metal threaded ring and pops off at the worst moment, usually right after you bag your long zoom the wrong way and pull it out to flip it over..and get nothing but hood, resulting in a hard knock on the floor(HoRRoR!). I didn't use the glass cover filter as I already have a good one installed but looked it over in a light and it seems okay. The included cloth and pen are nice bonuses and made this the best deal I found for these camera toys. I used the brush almost right away to dislodge a large tree stump that had decided to take refuge on my k50's sensor. All clear now (Phew!)

Hoods screw on just fine and lens cover fits properly with the hood on
Received this the other day. Hoods screw on just fine and lens cover fits properly with the hood on. As others have mentioend, when the lens is at 18MM you can see a bit of the flower hood but disappears when moved to approx 24MM. same with the rubber hood. Would only use the first pull-out extension for anything between 24-40MM otherwise you will see the outline of the hood when fully extended...but it works perfectly. The UV filter works as it should with clear image results. The brush cleaning pen is a nice product. This is a basic accessory kit and well worth the good price.
