Most electronics failures are in their power supplies, and in those, their smoothing/filtering capacitors go bad. This set provided me with a new batch to fix a couple of appliances, as well as restock my test bench. The set is comprehensive, well labeled, and stored in a good sorting box you could easily keep them in. Price was good and delivery fast.

Excellent kit

Off to a bad start! Nice package, the capacitors LOOK great. However, the first one I used ( 10 microfarad, 25V) worked fine for about 5 minutes in a 555 timer circuit set up for 2 Hz. I noticed something odd, measured the frequency which had increased to over 100 Hz! Bridging another capacitor across the first one brought the pulse rate down closer to original. Bad 10 mike capacitor! Better not rely on them.

Can't comment on the quality of the parts, but the case and dividers leave a lot to be desired. Dividers plain and simple did not stay in place during shipping, capacitors were all mixed in with each other, lots of time trying to sort them out and get them back into their places, even then, the dividers just don't work well.

Not as cheap as buying bulk from China. If you don't want to buy 200 of each value, this is a great trade off for a repair bench. I would only buy these kits.
