Works very well.

I like that it holds up to the West Texas winds. It is sturdy and stays put in the ground and on the clothesline. I will be purchasing another one.

I am using this prop to support the center of a very long pressure rod that has four linen curtain panels on it. The span is so broad that the pressure rod sagged in the center. This prop is working successfully to prevent that sag. I tightened the top connector firmly to keep the top pole from sliding down, but I never did figure out what the loose spring inside the lower pole was supposed to do. I suspect there’s an internal part missing that should make this pole act more like a pressure rod. But who’s to say? At any rate, it’s doing the job I wanted it to do. I deducted one star for the mystery spring. I found no rust, as some reviewers have mentioned. The prop is powder coated gray.Also…I notice on many other reviews that people are trying to use this prop as a substitute for a clothesline pole. It is not intended to be used that way. It is instead intended to prop up a sagging clothesline that is already installed on appropriate clothesline poles. I can understand low ratings for rust and missing parts, but low ratings for misuse should be ignored.

Definitely not an upgrade from what mom used. These keep collapsing!! have to use my kids bikes to try to hold them up because the won’t stand and hold the wash line on their own. I never swore so much in my life trying to get these things to do a simple job. Don’t buy!!

Just to let you know this is very short. I couldn’t use it for the clothesline that said a normal height. I will find a use for it somewhere : be aware of the height.

I like the poles a lot. The adjust to the size you want on wash lines.

Sturdy, lasts, easy to use. Have used for 5 years, just does the job. Saw other posts with less stars...maybe I just got a good one. Works for me though.Bought a different one from Amazon at same time. It was made of thin, ridged aluminum. It worked well, but just stepped on it and flattened metal. Not as robust as this one. Did splint it with wood lathe and Gorilla tape. Back in action.Both worked and happy to get 5 + years out of them.

Arrived very quickly. Works perfect for clothes lines.
