A sweet lovely short story...
I absolutely loved this little short story and was everything I wanted for a romantic story set in Paris. I loved each of the characters, although I particularly liked the receptionist Marianne and had a soft spot for Fabien. This story provided a wonderful escape and made me long to return to Paris and have an adventure of my own. As well as being a romantic tale at its heart, it was also a story about being spontaneous and finding the courage to embrace the unfamiliar. It was a super little read, perfect for my bus ride home. It was incredibly easy to read and so well written. I feel like I went on a journey with Nell and could relate so much to her character. If anything I would love there to be a follow up book as the ending left me with so many questions and possibilities. All in all I immensely enjoyed this lovely short story and an absolute fan of the Quick Read books. This was a fantastic opportunity to read something by Jojo Moyes, an author I have never read anything of. I will now definetly be reading more by this author.

For those who want more than Emily in Paris...
I very much enjoyed this quick read as it was the perfect escape to Paris and to learn more about two characters who are meant to meet each other. Sometimes fate or luck or the universe brings us exactly that person we need - for now, forever - that's not even important. They play their part in our lives for exactly that period of time as needed. So whilst I am fan of happy endings, a happy ending does not always mean the characters end up being forever but the way they touch each others lives will be forever... lovely read by a great author.

The perfect read with a glass of wine!
Review: Oh what a fab fab read! This book may come in a small package but it certainly packs a massive punch. I had no expectations going into this book, which i think is the best way sometimes don't you? I sat down with a glass of wine and this in my hand and i didn't get up until i had finished both. (This is the perfect length of book for a large glass of red by the way). This book has all the feels. I loved Nell, she really blossomed over the 95 pages of this cute little novella and i had completely fallen in love with her by the end. Her confidence and self-belief grew and she learned how to have fun and be spontaneous. This book has romance and laughs, a little bit of sorrow and the beautifully described city of Paris. I loved the descriptions of zooming around Paris on a moped, no detail is left out , despite the short length of this novella. The wine and the coffee sounded amazing so i really do defy you not to at least want a croissant whilst reading this delightful little offering. There were also parts which made me laugh, Nell's friends and her American nemesis provide the laughs in spades and along with the aw factor, the writing style was wholly satisfying|!There are two possible suitors for Nell's heart and the French one of those two will definitely melt your own heart and he's a writer too. They've both been hurt and so you know that makes for the best kind of will they won't they situation. because Nell is only in Paris for a couple of nights, her trip is a short as the book and so you are definitely left wanting more. This ends on a delightful cliffhanger and i so so want to find out from Jojo Moyes exactly what happen next...like now!

Engaging romcom.
Rating: 3.2/5This book is part of this year's Quick Reads programme from The Reading Agency. I am very much a fan of the scheme, but I have to admit that I was a little disappointed to see that the six books forming this year's offering are re-issues of previously featured stories rather than new material. That said, the aims of encouraging people to take up reading or to lure back lapsed readers still remains and there are some real gems amongst the selection for those who may have missed them the first time around. There is a real skill in drafting a properly rounded story within the confines of a mere 100 or so pages and Jojo Moyes manages to achieve just that. In spite of the short format this story manages to tell an engaging and entertaining story. It is very much in the romantic comedy mould and delivers just what you would expect from something of that genre - just in a bite-sized format. If, like me, you are someone who is unlikely to pick up a full-length romcom novel, then this makes for an ideal way to have a change from your usual fare without being overfaced by it.
