Engineering is just wrong but fixable
When installed, any side pressure causes them to spin around the crash bar. Crash bars just never line up properly to make the install spin-free.To solve this, I drilled a hole through the tab on the bracket that lined up with the nut on the clamp. Then I drilled a 1/4" hole through the crash bar at the mounting location. With that modification, I installed a #6-1.0 x 50mm cap screw through the tab+crash bar and back wards into the welded nut on the clamp. The bolt ensures the peg will never spin around, and solves the problem that everyone talks about where the tack-welded nut pops off. This little mod makes it a solid install.A few other notes: 1) The metal is actually very hard (good), so drilling was hard on my bits. 2) The little spring retainers fall out easily. Use masking tape to hold them in place as you assemble the peg on the frame. 3) The pegs are a little short for big boots.

Disappointed
The pegs fit and look great on my KTM Super Adventure. Even the orange matched the KTM orange crashbars. I love the way they fold up out of the way - exactly what I was looking for. However, the design for mounting could be better. Mounting Bolts that stick out in the back barely fit between the bars and faring and threaten to damage my faring at the first gentle laydown (that hopefully never occurs). The bolts are only separated from your crashbar by a cheap piece of plastic. This will break when the bolt is tightened to where the pegs don’t slide around. It gets worse; within the first week the right side peg started getting stuck in the up position. This quickly got worse until the peg couldn’t be folded down anymore. Soon the other peg did the same thing. While on a road trip I had to force them down with a breaker bar, snapping the locking pins. Oddly enough, they work fine now. I really like this product but it needs to be designed to work well BEFORE you break it.

Dissapointing.
These highway pegs don't fit securely on crashbars. When even light pressure is applied even by hand they rotate on the axis of the crashbar and spin around, even with the mounting nuts tight and secure. It is a shame, since they look so good and the price is good. I would recommend saving your money and getting a more established brand of highway pegs for your adventure motorcycle.

Good start, but need some work
I installed these highway pegs on my KTM 1290 SAR. Sadly the orange is a shade or two off from the crash bars. They appear to have resolved the welding issue. I had to change the bolts for a traditional hex head since I didnt have the clearance to insert an allen wrench. I applied a lot of torque to the pegs to keep them still, and they held up. Of course if the nuts were on the inside of the bracket, the welds wouldn't matter as the pressure would be placed against the bracket.I had to wrap the bar with Gorilla Tape to keep the pegs from spinning around the bar.In short, the pegs are a good start, but be prepared to take a few additional steps when installing and possibly change out some hardware. And I really wish the orange was a better match to the KTM orange.

Great for my purposes.
A little tricky to install, however, I made them fit on Motech engine guards for KLR 650. The bars are 1 1/8". Only needed to drill the backing plate one size bigger to allow for the extra stretch. The hole for the large bolt. The plastic spacers for thinner bars are trash imo. the only way to truly keep them from spinning is to dig the bolts into the bar without the plastic or to wrap the bars in grip tape. When I am happy with the exact placement I will spot weld them to the bar. Then the bolts will superfluous.

Good quality stainless steel.
These are good quality but I am unable to fit them on my bike with the crash bars I have. Will be sending them back unfortunately. Recommended if you have crash bars that can accommodate them.

Not great quality. Poor performance
Product idea is great. Not easy to lnstall as little round pressure balls fall off. BTW - no instructions given. After installed, product does not stay in place UP... keeps dropping due to motorcycle vibrations. Product is overpriced vs the poor performance. Dissapointing.

Nice fit and finish stainless steel product at a respectable price. Should work well with my BMW R1200GS. No mounting instructions provide but not that difficult once you figure out how the ball detents work. Fold up out of the way when not in use is what I like.
