Quiet and powerful.
This is my second grinder, my first one was from another company and lasted about 6 years - I thought it was great, lots of power and was really loud. This LEM Big Bite #5 is blowing my mind. You can have a conversation over it while it's grinding. Before I would have to wear headphones and warn my neighbor I was going to be grinding meat (no joke) so he could close his back door. When I first turned it on I didn't think it switched on. It just works so well and much easier than my old grinder.- Super quiet.- Super powerful, processes chicken thighs with bone without any bogging.- Makes really great hamburger.- Grinding pan on top is large and very secure, you can load it with a lot of meat or vegetables.- Cleans up really quick and easy.My only negative feedback:- Fluid from the grind can make it's way backwards so it leaks out a little from where the grinder meats the motor.- I do wish there was a grind plate in between the small and medium included. I'm using this to make dog food and the smallest grind would be awesome for sausage, and the biggest grind lets too large of bone fragments through.I feel like this was entirely a good purchase and worth the money, I hope it lasts as long as my old one.

It’s a beast !
This is a fantastic grinder. It’s been a joy to use. I make my own raw dog food blend of 5-8 different meat blended with raw vegetables and it makes it fast and easy. I also grind small bones (beef, lamb, chicken) and this handles them with no problem. I’ve had it for 6 months with no problems. ‘It’s easy to clean, disassembles quickly. There are no plastic parts to wear out and the stainless is good quality.I’ve run it continuously for 20 minutes with minimal heat build up.It is large and, if you’re petite, it’s heavy if you’re lifting it but can be managed with a little extra ‘muscle’.I store mine covered, in the corner of my counter under the overhang of a cabinet because I don’t always have any ‘extra muscle’ around when I need it. <:>)I think this big boy can handle most meat processing jobs you might have and it also comes with a sausage making attachment if you want to try that.I like this machine. Glad I spent the extra money and didn’t go with something cheaper.

Absolute beast
I would recommend this lem big bite #32 to anyone that packages they’re own meat/ makes they’re own pet food! It worked amazing and is super fast for making your own hamburger, but I also make my own pet food which could be pretty hard on a meat grinder! This thing will chew up chicken bones as fast as you can throw them in there like it’s nothing. Keep noted that I make tons of dog food at once to store away. It really didn’t have any time to rest while I was doing it and still it didn’t get hot or even sound like it was wearing on the motor.Cleaning was easy as well for the most part. It’s never fun cleaning up stuff like this, but for all the money you save by packaging your own meat I would say it’s worth it.It’s also very well made. Everything seams sturdy and works as advertised and then some! I didn’t expect it to eat up bones so easy! It is pretty expensive but in the long run it will save me tons of money by packaging meat myself. It’s crazy how expensive processed food is compared to buying in bulk and doing it on your own!

Dog food prep time cut by 2/3rds!
Bought to make homemade dog food. What a game changer! This thing was a life saver. I make about 60lbs every 2 weeks. I would spend 6 or 7 hours each time. Now I can do it in 2.5hrs, without cook time. Does an amazing job. The foot peddle wasn't necessary, in fact in hinders things. It takes a while to clean out the auger, so letting it run for a minute was better than standing on the peddle. It cleans up easy. I don't use the silicone lubricant as it seems toxic. I do dry in the oven after every use. Very well made machine. I could easily have bought a smaller size for my use, but plan on getting venison this year, so glad I have it.

Grinds chickens, bones and all...
I have several large dogs. I bought this after Costco ran out of their premium brand of dog food and I switched brands. The Kirkland dog food was so bad, no matter how much my dogs ate (and they ate a lot) they lost wight and their hair started falling out. I linked it to the dog food and started researching how little nutrition is in dog food, even the more popular brands. With Purina one at a $1.50 a lb and better food going up from there, I started making my own from chicken quarters, . 57lb at my local grocery store and adding in extra veggies and organs for vitamins. Now my dog food costs $1.15 lb and the dogs look great, have more energy and I feel better about what they eat. I grind 200lbs at a time and pack it in 5lb bags then put it in the deep freeze. This grinder takes it as fast as I can shovel it in, chicken bones and all.

Great machine
First off, we are considered a small scale processor. We do over 100 deer, 50 cattles and 200 hogs a year. The first lem we had was a #12 and it did a great job for 3 years. We used it every day and then it started leaking grease, so we decided to up grade to this big boy.The one we recieved was definitely a return. It had bumps, scratches and dried meat on it. Cleaned it up and gave her a go. It ground 15 lbs of meat in 5 minutes. We did a rough test grind on this batch meaning we intentionally didn't cut out some silver skin to see how good of a grind we got. The grinder was able to remove all sliver skin and left very even grind. See picture for reference. That's beef. The size of the machine is double what our #12 was and the parts are heavy but they are solid. All the pieces are large and dishwasher safe. We put all pieces on the bottom of the dishwasher for sanitation and it works perfectly. This is a great machine for anyone wanting to do their own meat. Great for beginners. We started out as backyard butchers and have slowly evolved into needing a huge machine. The value for the money is on point. This machine is a little more than off name but it's worth the warranty and customer service that comes with the lem brand.
