Satisfaction by Lexi Blake is the second book in her Lawless series that takes place in the same world as her Masters and Mercenaries series. You do NOT have to have read the connected series to jump right into this series, you do, however, need to read the Lawless series in order.This is the story of Brandon, the youngest Lawless brother and Carly, personal assistant to the devil herself.Bran watched his brother Riley do a number on his now wife. The secrets and lies and plotting and planning that has been a part of the Lawless family since their parents death is taking it's toll and having watched Riley nearly screw it all up he decides to take the lead on their nest step of the plan and step in for Drew. He has watched Carly and knows, deep down, that the truth is the best plan of attack and only hope of enlisting her aide in their fight to catch their parents murderers and bring them to justice.Suspenseful, lustful, sexy, and wicked, Brandon is a wonderfully quirky character. He views himself as flawed but with Carly in the picture he is beginning to learn the path he wants to take and be a better person because of it. Loved this. Brandon Lawless is the youngest brother in the Lawless clan. His job of late has been to help his brothers’ and sister get revenge for their parents’ deaths. He will do whatever it takes to get the information they need to bring their killers to justice. Including seducing the enemy’s personal assistant the fact that she is beautiful and innocent has made it a bit more complicated for Brandon. She is exactly the kind of girl he would love to have a normal life with to live the rest of his life with in peace. But he’s no good, he can’t live a normal life he has too much baggage.He can’t resist her sweet innocence and he refuses to lie to her in order to get what he wants. I loved that Brandon was honest with Carly from the moment he met her. Instead of following the big elaborate scam his brother Drew came up with for Drew to date her and woo her into getting them the goods on her boss. Brandon saw something in Carly from the moment he laid eyes on her. They were such a perfect couple. They both try to resist the sexual tension between them. They soon find out it is a futile effort.Carly Hendricks was a sweetheart I loved her. I adored how she protected her sister, I loved how she wouldn’t let Drew’s attitude and sarcasm get the best of her. She is a tough cookie dealt a bad hand by her nasty boss and life in general. The chemistry between Carly and Brandon was awesome every touch was like the first time. They both shared an innocence that was endearing. Brandon never had this kind of connection with a woman as an adult.This series has quickly become another favorite of mine. I crazy about the sibling relationship that Drew, Riley, Brandon, and Mia share. They are bonded by the tragedy in their lives but they also love each other and want what’s best for the other to be happy. The funny banter they share especially when they all gang up on Drew was hilarious.There are a lot of twists, turns, and revelations to be had throughout the book. Brandon opens up to Carly about his time in the system as a kid and the things that happened to him are heartbreaking.I cannot wait for Drew and Shelby’s story she is going to give him a run for his money for sure.Another fantastic read by Ms. Blake.

Brandon Lawless takes point on the next Lawless mission, literally overriding Drew. He sits down in front of Carly Hendricks and tells her the truth about the plan. Whst he doesn't account for is the way Carly gets to him. Carly is definitely looking for a man but Bran is too good to pass up and she hates her boss, Patricia Cain, so heling the Lawless clan out is not a hardship. Things get murky, emotional, tense and volatile when Bran loses it over Carly being threatened. He refuses to talk about the real issues and it's only through Ian Taggart's wise counsel that Carly decides to fight for her man.There are lots of stunning revelations in this book giving it lots of twists and turns as more and more pieces to the puzzle fall into place. Lexi keeps the level of intrigue up while tempering it with romance and bits of humor.

I'm waffling between 3.5-4 stars on this one..Brandon and Carly's relationship made me feel like I was riding a roller coaster. It was chock-full of emotions that ran the gamut from self doubt and insecurities to happiness and joy. While I do think Bran and Carly had decent physical chemistry, I felt their relationship was just a band-aid for deeper emotional wounds neither had dealt with yet. For me, that made their emotional side of their relationship not as believable and was a much harder sell for me to sink into.Picking up where RUTHLESS ended, SATISFACTION jumps straight into a riveting, suspenseful, and sometimes thought-provoking read. Although Bran and Carly's romance fell flat for me, the overall plot was a fantastic entry to this trilogy! Ian's sarcastic wit and charm alone was worth my time. The plot twist was quite crafty, in a chilling sort of way, and sets the perfect tone for Drew's story in REVENGE.SATISFACTION is book two in the series, but can easily be read as a stand alone.

Absolutely enjoyed the characters and romance and mystery in a three part series of Spies and action packed. Meet brandon lawless also know as Lang to keep their cover and Carly Fisher the target to get to the boss. songs that represent them both lonely call by rarely,you say by lauren daigle kind of mind me think of the characters and what they been through and the journey twists that they both have to take. Lots of twists and turns action packed with a bell of a thunderstorm enjoy .

As much as I loved the first book, this one kind of fell a bit short for me. I loved the plot of this series, it's different, it's revenge done for a family by a family and yes the couple is super hot. I just found this one hard to get into. I started and stopped this book many times and had to really force myself to get into it.I found Bran rather odd, he has a lot of self doubt and self hatred, he always feels subpar to his family he is like a teenager and the whole always wanting to help the women he sleeps with. I just feel he had a lot of issues that seemed to pop up here and there. Personally it wasn't my cup of tea.That being said, I am super eager to see how Drew and Shelby get it together and how much trouble they stir up together haha.

The Lawless series is an excellent read, it has great characters, good storyline, dialogue and laugh out loud humour as well as action and romance

Was really keen to learn Brans story but didn't know quite what was in store for me. I love that the siblings are all so different and yet held by a common bond. Can't wait to see Drew fall!!

Lexi Blake's books never fail to grab me from start to finish & she does it again.... absolutely LOVE the Lawless men!!Can't wait to read the next books···
