I put this filter into my Craftsman ride-on mower and it's a perfect fit. One of the big plusses of this filter vs others here on amazon is that this one comes with the pre-filter. This is especially important in giving these filters long life. The quality is decent and for $10 this is just the ticket. I have to mow a full 6 acres of over-grown, hip high weeds and plants, California land that is real rough, muddy and or dusty depending on the time of year. This can clog a filter almost completely in just one mow, requiring a good cleaning or replacement if it's real bad. You should replace your filter at least every season, if not more, unless you use my Pro-tip below.Pro-Tip: To make these things last a lot longer (I got 5 seasons out of the last one which is probably the equivalent of 150 acres mowed or over 100 hours or so, which is amazing) the secret is to treat it just like you do a motorcycle/atv/dirt bike filter. If you're like me you have owned or still own dirt bikes, performance machinery etc, all of them use filter oil and you clean them regularly. Use the filter oil you probably already have laying around to oil the filter and pre-filter and use oil filter cleaner if you have that around too and you'll be shocked how long these things stay "new". Clean them after every 3-4 mows on a normal lawn or in my case every full mow. The pre-filter is especially sensitive to drying out and rotting and becoming worthless, but if it's oiled it will last and last. I could have probably even gone this season on the old one, but the pre-filter had seen better days and had holes finally, so I switched it all out.
