DormCo Suprima Ultimate Height Black Bed Risers - Carbon Steel

Our daughters recently decided they were too old for bunk beds, but their room is not big enough to easily hold two twin beds, so I started looking for other options. I found this product here on Amazon, and found my solution. Their current bunk bed was one of those "convertible" models that can separate into two twin beds. (This would also work with normal standard twin beds, I'm sure.) I put these legs on one of the twin beds, and that got it high enough to go over the other bed, but not so high that you have to use a ladder to get in and out in the middle of the night. I am 5' 6'', and the top bed is about chest-high for me. The girls feel like their have their own space now (important to young ladies!), and it still doesn't take up the entire bedroom. As a bonus, there is also quite a bit of storage space under the higher bed. I did not set it up, so I can't say anything about that process. My two daughters did it on their own (ages 13 and 11), and I came in afterward and shook it to make sure it was all holding up. The bed does rock ever so slightly, but no more than their bunk bed did in the first place. I have full confidence in it holding up for as long as we are using it. I took pictures of their new setup. You can see that their beds already had somewhat chunky (2 1/4 inches) square legs. It is possible that other reviews that say this is not sturdy enough didn't have square legs or big enough legs. Measure your bed legs before ordering.

It really is a great product IF it fits your bed posts. However, it didn't fit ours so we returned it. Then we didn't get a full refund. That wasn't cool, so that results in a poor review.

I used these risers for my dorm to loft it and put my desk underneath. I thought it wasn’t going to be high enough but it was! The only complaint I have is that some of the nuts and bolts don’t match, but if you secure the risers well i’m sure there won’t be a problem like how I did. It does rock a little but overall very sturdy especially when i’m jumping up to my mattress lol. But overall good risers!

These risers worked great! Assembled with a rubber mallet only. They have a snug fit to our bed frame, so the screws weren't even necessary. We were able to loft the bed up to 4ft 7in. Just waiting the safety bed rail to be delivered. I highly recommend if your school is like ours and doesn't offer loft kits, and your bed is compatible.

Pros: Overall it was a good product. I was able to set up a private space under my bed where I now have my desk. It did not fit my bed legs initially but that is no fault of the actual risers. My bed legs are rectangular so the shorter side did not fit well so I put in a small block of wood on one side of each led and now it is very sturdy.Cons: My biggest problem with them were that they came in relatively poor condition. The metal bases on each leg (they are just a flat piece of metal that you stick a rubber cushion too) were all bent. Thankfully all of the corners were either not bent or bent up such that it could still be put on the ground. One of the four legs skrew holes came striped however and is the main cause of this 3-star review. Because each leg can be tightened from two sides I just used a woodblock spacer and tightened from the other side. It is still unacceptable that one of the skrew holes came striped. Although the bending of the leg feet could be blamed on the shipping company the striped skrew hole was the fault of the manufacturer. Lastly the paint was chipped on arival in a few places.

DO NOT BUY THIS! These bed risers are absolutely terrible. They made my bed wobble nonstop, and then it completely collapsed! On top of that, I had to pay to return them, which is ridiculous considering how poorly made they are. This was a complete waste of time and money. I will NEVER buy this again, and I strongly warn anyone thinking about it—stay away! Save yourself the frustration and look for something actually sturdy.

I am in love with this product. I am up at college and lofted my bed and have so much storage underneath from these. I have two drawer units underneath. They are very sturdy and look very nice in black

We installed this on a dorm room bed and it was extremely wobbly. We followed all the instructions but after installing the bed swayed in all directions. Leaving it would result in a real hazard given the height of the bed. One of the legs was damaged when received and not exactly level. Don't think this would have made a difference as it seems the riser is too high causing it to be unstable. The kicker is that we had to spend $35 to send it back -- for a defective and flawed design. Don't buy.
