Great item

Bought for an Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book discussion tea party for daughter’s high school project. Most kids had never seen or knew treacle was real. Fun addition to tea party.

I wasn’t able to use this because it arrived dented, leaking, and I needed it for my baking business. I won’t risk contaminated products. Super bummed because I was looking forward to using it and there is no recourse process to get another one or refunded.

This tastes like some Supreme Molasses-and the can is awesome!!The lion and the bees, and the caption depicted on the can refers to Samsom in the 14th chapter of the Book of Judges. Samson slew a lion, (with his bare hands), and later returned to it and found a beehive in the carcass, full of honey. He then proposed a riddle to the wedding guests, which the caption partially states:Judges 14:14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

Quality excellent. Taste is strong - and that’s what you want in a product that is most like molasses. It’s British, so spendy, but worth it. Do try Lyle’s Golden Syrup too - that stuff is habit forming! The can is an excellent container - make sure the lid is back on properly. Do not give the lovely can to small children.

A bit to bitter for my taste

I love using treacle in baked goods and it always brings memories of my Granny's Clooty Dumplin' great on toast too.
