I was looking for a cheap camera for my 8 years old daughter so that she doesn't have to keep taking my expensive camera to play. In case she will drop it or damages it, you know how kids handle things.I saw this £38 camera on Amazon, this is cheap and if she drops it or damages it, I won't have any hard feeling.The camera is only £38 with free delivery, so I don't expect much from it. But it turns out to be better than I expected.It comes with 2 batteries, carrying pouch and strap.It is very light and small.This camera has proper flash and not the LED flash like those on the phone. This is powerful, sometimes I feel it is a bit too powerful and make the image a bit washout when it is too close to the object.Usually with my other cameras, you can touch the lens easily and get the fingerprint mark on the lens. But the lens on this camera is very far back in the small hole, which you won't be able to get the finger to touch the camera lens. Which requires a lot less cleaning, the downside is that it is also harder to clean the lens too. I found that the cotton bud is ideal for this job.The LCD screen on the camera is not good, if you view the photo on the computer, the photo will be better than on the camera screen.Photo quality is very reasonable for this cheap camera. As I don't expect this can be near as goods as my few hundreds pounds camera.I did play with this for an hour to two before I hand it over to my daughter, to get a better photo with this camera, try to keep your hand a bit more steady when pressing the button to take a photo especially if you use the zoom.The camera is simple to use not too many buttons, even my 8 year old daughter can figure out how to take photo and video without me telling her how to use it

Bought for my 10 year old son, he finds it very easy to use for both photos and video. It is easy to charge the battery and to transfer images to a computer. One thing to remember is that the camera does not come with a memory card, so one needs to be purchased separately, and when inserting it into the camera, you need to make sure that you hear a “click” sound. All in all, he seems happy!

I signed us up for a couple of photo walks and wanted my daughter to have something decent and cheap to use instead of her using my much more expensive camera or encouraging her to use my phone. This is priced just right so I don't have any problems with her using it/ banging it about.The size and weight are perfect for young ones to carry about and the red colour is a great hit as well. It is fairly easy to set up and my daughter easily got the hang of the different shooting modes.The lcd screen is very clear and she spends a lot of time looking back at the photos she takes. The picture quality is decent and it obviously is not fair to compare it to the image quality of cameras costing 10 times more.I am pleased with this purchase as it has worked well and helped trigger off an interest in taking photos and the different settings in an 8 year old.

This product was flimsy and did not work. It would not accept two SD cards that we tried. It was a Christmas Gift and my daughter was so disappointed. It took one picture and then said "Card Error." We tried several cards. The one picture it did take was very poor quality. The battery lasted for 5 mins. we had charged it for two hours. I was not expecting anything fancy as we just wanted a point and shoot, but this was ridiculous. Very bad quality.

The camera has taken good pictures and I had no problems with it while on holiday, using it every day and charging it most nights. Now I charge it fully and the battery runs down immediately even though I am not using it, why is this and what can I do? Every time I go to take a picture the battery is flat even though I charged it, the batteries and camera were new 2 months ago.

The media could not be loaded. I bought it for my 5years old son as a promised present after his treatment. I didn't want to spend a fortune as it for him to play with. AGAIN I trusted Amazon's choice when I was choosing camera for him. I wasn't expecting much for price BUT was very surprised to see a good quality camera not just for children but for adults too. Stylish, sturdy, comfortable in hands. The features are easy enough even for 5 years old, I spent about half an hour to explain how it works. He is very happy little bunny making photos of beautiful world around him.P.S. Finally my phone has space and no more 100 pictures of the same object.

OK, so I got the camera. it seemed OK, not the best but OK..... then I tried to take a photo of my toy..... yeah both modes looked really bad and I needed the camera to take a pic of my toys....As you can see by the picture's in the image.... it's no good for what I wanted it for.Even in the "HD" mode it was no good at close range.It's far too grainy for what I wanted it for.Even the aspect slider did nothing to help.It's an ok camera but if you wanted it for your toy photos then give it a pass.plus it was kind of hard to navigate as well.

Bought it for my toddler who is very into taking photos recently. We have tested it. The operation is simple and straight forward. The resolution is all right. The camera reminds me of my first digital camera in 2002 which cost around £50. It served a good purpose for years. For this one we don't expect too much on picture quality etc. If it can survive a few drops and throws that will be great! You will need to have a SD card ready before using it, mind you!
