Long Live Digital Audio CDs
I am editing my first review since I have purchased twice now...Being a musician, I record heavily on a "Phillips Brand stand alone CD Recorder" and had been using "Memorex" for years as they worked better than other brands. With time I noticed that all "Digital Audio blank CDs from Memorex, as well as other brands were getting harder to find and my machine also started having problems reading and recording from the newer marketed blank CDs. I figured maybe it was just due to normal wear and tear on my recorder; However, after reading many reviews about this product (Pro-Disc) my machine has worked flawless. I would recommend using this product for any home CD recording over anything found at the store... My second purchase was also made thru "GenesysDTP" as they are who I bought from originally the first time - I noticed some new 1 star reviews saying the product was not up to standard maybe due to other sellers of this product but this seller has been awesome. I have tested my second batch of CDs and again flawless recording. Also, the review about not being able to distinguish between the recording side of the CD - there actually is a slight greenish tint on the recording side. Also, I really don't care to see a cheesy brand name on my CDs as all store brands will have - so it is an added bonus!

Prodisc Spin-X discs
Love them. I needed blanks for an old Pioneer CD recorder deck that only accepts music discs, which are nearly impossible to find in the stores. These arrive in eco-friendly packaging, wrapped in cellophane, no spindle, etc. They do work in my recorder, and can be played back in all four of our family cars. The discs are blank on both sides, which apparently causes some confusion as to which side to record on.. They are all stacked facing the same way, record side down. If you are still not sure, put the disc in the machine. If it does not recognize the disc, FLIP IT OVER. These are a great value, and sound as good as the Memorex white label ones I used to buy.

100 Spin-X CD-Rs a satisfactory deal
The 100 shiny silver discs work well so far. The rating comes from the difficulty in determining which side is up and the lack of any spindle. The plastic wrap gave up the ghost upon my opening the package leaving 20 or so discs spinning on the floor. Then the problem was finding a way to store without the spindle. The discs themselves work well and the negatives are really not too bad. Just be ready.

THESE DISCS WORK AWSOME!
THESE DISCS ARE SOOO HARD TO FIND, WHAT A RELIEF! They work excellent on my 5 year old JVC recorder. I don't know what these other folks are talking about, the recording side is clearly green while the other side is clearly silver, a no-brainer, lol. Can't beat the price either, thank you!

Don,t be fooled!
DON'T BE FOOLED! I read some mixed reviews , and still decided to go ahead with purchase - - Big mistake , these cd- r's state they are Music cds and will record on Digital Audio Recorders - but they will not! They will record on my laptop cd burner - so not a total waste of money. They are cheap , I suppose , however they are falsely advertised as Digital Audio Discs. SO BEWARE !

"Yes and no" (110 Spin-x 12x Digital Audio/MUSIC CD-R "Shiny Silver"
When I ordered these, I was wondering what "shiny silver" actually meant. I found out! It is quite difficult to tell which side is the recordable side. Both sides look about alike.I have a Philips stand-alone CD recorder which works with every brand of MUSIC CD-R I've ever tried....up to now! These DO NOT work in it.However, since they can be used in our church machine, a newer one (& different brand), I opted to keep them. I am having to apply adhesive labels on the non-recordable sides for ease of identification. Otherwise, there'd be a 50-50 chance of putting the CD-R's in upside down! (And, yes, I DID try them again WITH the labels attached, thinking my machine might be scanning incorrectly w/o any label - or ANYTHING - to "slow down" the laser pickup.)Due to the extra expense of labels, the "good deal" on $$$ isn't so good.'Wish I'da known this earlier. "Shiny silver" is denoting the LABEL side, folks! ('Looks just like the recordable side.)Could I use them myself? No. Are they salvagable? Yes.Would I purchase them again? Probably not.

Great Sound for a Good Price
I use these discs to burn master copies of the audio backing tracks that I produce. Lately, I have been purchasing very expensive Gold discs from MAM-A because other commercial blank discs from Sony, who I used often before, started failing. So, I gave Prodisc Spin-X a try and I am very satisfied with the results. The discs faithfully reproduce the sound I hear through my monitors after mixing and making my masters.

SPIN-X CD-R80
I first purchased this item in 2009 and they worked fine for my Philips stand alone recorder. But my recent re-order proved otherwise; my deck won't accept them at all. Maybe because they are made in Taiwan or because my deck is getting old and is extra picky (Mitsui discs work great but cost more). I suppose they'll work for computer use but I already have too many for that purpose. Beware they may not work in all recorders as stated.
