it cleans up
previously used Ecover WUL, but only tend to buy when on offer due to price, this was recommended by a friend so I thought I'd give it a whirl..... liquid seems quite thick when being transferred into my old bottle and is a clear neutral colour.... a small squirt is all that is required, it foams quite well, although don't expect huge mountains of bubbles as per less ethical leading brands, but more than enough... I tend to use for washing dog bowls, (and as mine are raw fed they can be quite oily), pots and pans that won;t go in the dishwasher... so far after a week of use, this product has done the job well, I even cleaned my deep fat fryer (stainless steel) and when draining the sink there were no grease tide marks around the sink.... the smell is quite hard to put my finger on, but is a clean smell.... the parent company Suma are a British co-operative, and would appear to be very ethical, being eco friendly and cruelty free amongst other things, their products also appear to be reasonably priced I would also point out, I do live in a soft water area

Take it or leaf it? I'll take it!
I find that I have to use a lot more of this than I would with a branded bottle of washing up liquid but it does the job it is supposed to do without the guilt. An added bonus of this liquid is that it is amazing at getting out stains from bedding. I rent my spare room out on Airbnb and various kinds of stains happen from time to time. I actually listened to my mother for once, used this washing up liquid on some stained sheets, soaked them then popped them in the wash - out they came with zero stains which has never happened with 'normal' washing up liquid. I won't be buying this particular brand again as it is no longer available on subscribe and save but it will be a while before I have to start looking for another eco version because 6 months in and I still have half the container left (and that is after the cheap and nasty tap I bought for this 5 litre container sprung a leak).

Thicker than my Granny's treacle
This seems to be on par with other 'eco' style products.Pro's: 1) It's lack of smell or very low or lack of perfume is a nice change. 2) Low foaming, so you can mainly see what you are cleaning and not spending oodles of water to rinse away unwanted foam. 3) Good price not forgetting to add the vat of course.Con's: 1) It is quite thickly viscous and doesn't come out of the washing up liquid bottle as easily as any other washing up liquid ever used including the other Eco (ver) brands! 2) It takes an effort to get the stuff to 'squirt' out (that said, you dont need much). If you have a poor grip or have problems with your wrists/hands/fingers this may well be an issue.Okay a couple of things, yes, you could make the hole bigger but is that the point and if you go back to another brand it'll come out like a beached oil tanker? In view of the product itself which is very good, we can't blame the bottle either. This would have got 5 stars but dropped one due to its reluctence to come out of the bottle I use (not the 5ltr bottle it comes in), it could be slightly more runny?

Impressively useless
I can only imagine the product design group having produced this, all sitting around..."So, are we sure we've only used ethical, eco ingredients?""Yes absolutely""Are we happy with the smell""Yes""Consistency?""Yes""Branding?""Yes""Right let's get this out to market!"*Cheers all round*...*Small voice in the corner* "Er... has anyone tried using this to do washing up?"<Total silence>So, I've been using Ecover for 10 years, and therefore do understand what is expected here. However, this product produces ZERO bubbles, and COMPLETELY FAILS to get dishes clean, even if you use a disgustingly large amount.I am literally unable to use it.PLEASE avoid this and buy Ecover - you won't regret it!

Good value product
I buy this regularly it is a good product and causes no allergy problems for me I can even use it to wash my hands it is so gentle on my skin. It washes dishes extreemly well with good lather and is a lot cheaper than buying eco products elsewhere

Not very effective for washing greasy dishes. Ecover works much better, I suppose that is why it costs more

Excellent !
Lovely scent and washes as good as any concentrated washing up liquid (even very greasy pans!), plus, it doesn't make my skin horribly dry afterwards. Buying in large quantities also makes it very cheap and lasts ages. Will continue to buy this!
