They claim 25 portions per tub
This review relates to Knorr Cream of Mushroom Classic Soup Mix 425g tub (Amazon combines reviews of several similar products here). This is good soup, just very slightly on the thin side if you follow instructions. Their claim of 25 portions is stretching it a little, IMHO, as they class a portion as 170ml prepared product. I'd say 220ml is fairer for a starter and 280ml for a decent bowl of soup with some crusty bread for lunch - this equates to 15 - 20 portions.I like to pep the soup up a bit and add some Worcestershire sauce. For a starter serving, let's say 2 rounded soup spoons of powder, 220ml water and just under half a tsp of Worcesrtershire sauce. For catering, that's 3 Tbs (45ml) Worcestershire sauce to 1 tub (425g) soup powder and 4.5l (eight pint glasses) water. The Worcestershire sauce smells quite strong as you add it but this fades by the time you serve it and the flavour is enhanced.Croutons go welll with this, too.

Good for cup a soup but huge price hike!
I bought this soup a couple of weeks ago. It makes a tasty cup a soup with 4 teaspoons of the powder and a teaspoon of smash, if you want it thicker. Using it like this doesn’t make as many portions as it says on the pack. Went to buy it again and the price has increased by almost £7. Shame.
