Despite what some others say in reviews, this device, when it is working, DOES kill gnats. It did a fine job for 2 months. I would keep finding more and more fried gnats on the metal electrode fingers in behind the grill, even after using my vacuum's brush attachment to gently sweep them off (the unit was powered off for this) periodically. Then yesterday it suddenly died. Since my order contained 2 units, I am putting the unused second one in service.Those who mentioned the problem with it's outlet prongs being too thin to stay securely in an outlet......mine have the same issue. It is the first thing I noticed about these. However, I have found that using one of the old rubber "3 prong adapter plugs" they make for plugging a 3 prong cord into a 2 prong outlet will work. Those are typically very snug on their receiving side, and will hold the bug device firmly into the outlet.In addition, mine show the name "Bazukaban" on the front. I see the imagery is now different on this product. I am also just now seeing there is 1 tiny dead gnat in the remaining "new" unit, and it doesn't look very new when closely inspected. It has cosmetic scratches and a bit of sticky residue on it, like some appliances get when used near fryers in a kitchen. So I question whether either of these units was actually "new" when I got them.I see that the Bazukaban 2-pack I ordered is no longer listed on Amazon. They pointed me to this listing when I looked up my previous order. I would never have even considered buying these with the reviews at 80% 1-star as they are now on this single-pack listing, so the reviews for these devices must have drastically changed in the past 2 months. Overall, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Buyer beware, mosquitoes are NOT attracted to UV light as other flying insects are. This will work fine for house flies or other pesky light attracted bugs but will be all but useless for mosquitos or gnats.

I bought this for my kitchen for fruit flies and gnats, but the product does not work like it says. I got no bugs zapped and still see them in the kitchen. Also it’s cheaply made! I unplugged it to relocate and the outlet piece broke off the product and got stuck in my outlet. I would not recommend this product at all! In the process of returning the product; don’t waste your money! I will be getting a different product I seen elsewhere on amazon. At first I was going to request a new one and I’d return the damaged ones, but there’s no button for contact seller.

Bought the product with great expectations but when tested at home did not work as advertised. I did not attract and/or kill mosquitoes. A other people has commented here: It is a fancy night light but not good as a mosquito killer.

This is not designed to kill flies, like it says on the online description. Did not work for flies, but prob would work for other insects that are attracted to light!

Catches those darn fruit flies which is great. Due to the heat they're always looking for a way in--also mosquitoes which are attracted. I'm well satisfied.

These lights doesn't work at all, I bought them hope these two lights will kill fly's in my house but I try almost two weeks I didn't see a single fly by kill that light so right I have to pretend these two lights is night lights.

Purchased 4 of these and installed them around the house. Tried for over a week. Houseflies and fruit flies got into my house while these were installed. They did not attract and kill any flying insects, period. Had to resort to the traditional fly-swatter. As someone else mentioned in their review, these are essentially over-priced nightlights.
