Good deal, needs better packaging!
I wish I would have taken a photo when I received this but I had a lot going on with being in the process of moving and everything which was a sudden event I was not prepared for. However when I received this the packaging was pretty basic and not thoughtful towards protecting the product and one of the lids was completely broken open from the weight of the other one being on top of it and not padded with plenty of free space in the box as well for them to bounce around. I considered doing an exchange because I was concerned about moisture loss of the container that was busted open, but like I said I was in the middle of a sudden move I was not prepared for which did not leave me the luxury of taking the time to mail it back and wait for another one to be received unfortunately. I ended up just placing it into a big Ziploc bag to try and protect what moisture was left in it for making my soap bars. I would say overall it's a good melt and pour base. Obviously it's not 100% African black soap like you would get in the raw but it seems to be pretty nice on the skin and has a silky smooth not very bubbly lather. The smell is very subtle and it smells nice-ish. It's easy to take the scent of whatever fragrance you choose to add however I noticed that there was still some sense of the soap base left behind that I could smell through my fragrance, although with that being said the fragrance choice that I used was also a very subtle smell so I feel like that was kind of to be expected to some extent. I'm honestly not 100% if I would purchase again. I might try to use raw African black soap and create my own melt and pour base next time just to get those better skin benefits from the more pure form of itself. If you are not melting it all at once it is difficult to extract from the containers just as a heads up for anyone who may like to know that random tid bit. :)
