ripped immediately, tried 3 times
Adult flying trapeze artist here. I was thrilled to find out that kids XL = adult M, and kids L= adult S, because adult grips don't come in fun colors. Ordered a set of flower power L and the leather ripped right out of the velcro within 3 days of practice, while I was in the air. Its quite a feeling when your grip pops apart in the middle of a swing; lucky i didn't fall. Thought it must be a fluke and got a replacement: this one made tell-tale popping sounds of stitches coming loose during the first session. To make sure it wasn't a sizing issue putting excess tension on the stitches, (I use adult S and the measurements are the same in millimeters) I ordered up to an XL (adult M). They are too large as expected (exactly like an adult M, had to tape them further up my wrists to compensate) and stitches STILL began to pop on the very first practice. If you read other reviews, you'll see that pairs ordered for actual children have also ripped immediately. Something is faulty in the stitching. It's a shame, because everyone I train with LOVED the prints and would have bought them.

Nice
I bought a medium for my 8 year old. They seem looks a good fit. She loves the bright color and I love that they look different from everyone else’s. She finds them a little uncomfortable (this is her first pair) because she says they feel short. They look like a great fit to me, next would be too long. I’m sure they just need to be broken down since she’s only had them 2 weeks.Only part I find odd is the leather is different on each of them. Like they cut all the leather peices the same direction but flipped some inside out to make the other hand instead of using a mirror image (I hope that makes sense). One hand is smoother on to top and the other is on the bottom. It doesn’t effect them right now since she doesn’t use them often, but I would be curious to see them after they are well broken in.

Stop hand injuries in young gymnasts......
My daughter (6) was starting team Gymnastics and subsequently putting a lot of work in on the bars. She came home one practice with her hands torn up pretty good. After doing a little reacher I found these hand/wrist wraps for her. They have proven to be very helpful from a protective stand point and improved her performance as well.

Wrist part is too rough for little kids
Bought size M for my 8YO, sizing is accurate and the palm part is soft. The issue is that the wrist part is so rough and edgy. So when my daughter uses it on the bar it hurts her wrist and she is no longer using it :( I will let her try with long sleeves but I don’t think it will be comfortable doing gymnastics with long sleeves

Tore in half on first day
I bought these for my younger sister who is 9. One of the grips tore in half on the first day she used them in a beginners gymnastics camp! I didn't expect them to be of great quality for such a low price, but at least thought they would last for this two week camp. Overall disappointed.

No Complaints
No complaints from my two girls who do gymnastics. One is 8 and one 10. Both still have them and use them. It's been over a year.

not great, not bad
I guess this is one of those, you get what you pay for deals. they are pretty cheap, the wristband is fairly small so it inevitably digs into the wrist when in use. i dont expect them to last more than a few months....but i'll let you know
