Dimmable Japanese Rice Paper Lantern Lamp – Akari Noguchi Style Paper Lamp for Bedroom, Desk & Living Room

Beautiful light!

We just received our lamp last week and are extremely happy with the quality of the product. The pictures of the lamp are amazing, but it looks even better in person. The assembly wasn't too difficult and the dimmable function is exactly what we need. We may even need to get a second lamp for the other side of our couch!We would recommend this to others.

Overall it’s a pretty cute lamp and similar in shape to the original Noguchi. The assembly was a bit of a headache. The lantern is a tad short. When I tried extending the lantern to secure at the bottom the tension caused a couple small tears in the lantern. It’s not noticeable, but very easy to tear if you’re not careful. I found it easier to apply the lantern to the vertical frame before attaching it to the base. Didn’t really love the LED light it came with, so I changed the bulb to a warmer light.

This paper lantern lamp is stunning! The warm glow from the rice paper lamp adds a cosy and elegant touch to any room. It’s beautifully crafted, inspired by Japanese lamp design, and works perfectly as a Noguchi lamp or Japanese table lamp. But I had to be careful when placing the lampshade over the frame, so it didn’t rip.

Sadly, I waited for such a long time for this to arrive and it did not work. The build is beautiful! Easy to set up. If you’re confuse how to put the lanter in, I did it upside down and hook the legs one by one. Saw it from a YouTube video.Then I plugged it in and turned the knob to on and didn’t light up. I tried the bulb on my other lamps and it worked. So it definitely wasn’t the bulb. I must’ve just received one that didn’t work.Going to return it. Wish it would’ve worked. Looks pretty.

The lamp arrived with easy install instructions and looks just like the photo! Perfect aesthetic that goes with our retro beachy theme.

This Japanese-style lantern adds an elegant touch to my entryway. The accent light creates a wonderful ambiance. Despite some reviews suggesting difficult assembly, I found it simple to put together. The paper covering seems sturdy for what it is.One hiccup: the included bulb didn’t work in this lamp, even though it functioned fine in another lamp. I swapped in an incandescent night-light bulb I had on hand, and it worked perfectly. I suspect the culprit is the built-in dimmer. In any case, I found the light from the included bulb to be too white so I don't think I would have used it anyway.Overall, this is a stylish accent lamp that delivers atmosphere and charm.

I love this lamp, it’s such a great addition. I’m 5’3” and the height is just above my knee. Two things though: the light is not as moody/yellow as shown in the product photos and the paper is very stiff. I thought I would rip it but thankfully it didn’t (tip: stretch very slowly and ease tension while doing so). Honestly so worth my money ($45)!
