Arrived in a timely fashion via UPS (I live quite remotely in coastal NC). Unfortunately, the quartz sleeve was broken due to rough handling. Not my local UPS guy's fault, cause he is excellent. An email to the supplier had a 2 pack replacement on the way very quickly, with no handling damage this time. Installed the system very easily, and has been running for 2 weeks now. No issues so far, and I am very happy with the customer service. Will update in about 6 months. For the price point, and the exceptional customer service, I would highly recommend this system.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the product overall, the value it offers, and the service provided by the manufacturer. My unit arrived with a broken quartz sleeve despite no apparent damage to the packaging. I contacted the manufacturer per their instructions, and within a few days received two replacement quartz sleeves -- one to replace the broken one and an additional one for my trouble. That's the way to build customer loyalty. So now I have 3 UV bulbs, 2 quartz sleeves, the 12 gpm UV unit, and the ballast with countdown timer -- all for less than half the price of a competitive unit with one UV bulb and quartz sleeve. The only issue I had with installation is that I couldn't get the wall mount brackets to snap shut around the unit -- they seem slightly too small. But even without snapping shut, they still hold the unit just fine.

Just hooked it up so yet to see how long it lasts. Had a little trouble getting it to not leak around the end O rings but finally got it after a few tries.

The media could not be loaded. I installed this UV sterilizer along with an electric anode rod on my hot water heater, new water softener and two sediment filters. The whole setup has improved the quality of my water significantly. I used to have a swampy smell from both my hot and cold water. Not only is the smell gone but the water tastes so clean and crisp.I had some questions and reached out to customer service and they got back to me within 24 hours.For the price of this system and the quality you can’t go wrong especially compared to other companies.

2 years later update: still working great!After reading about these and watching videos on installs of products like this, the install was very smooth. The unit appears to be well made, the threads are machines very well, and there were no defects to be noted. The bulbs aren’t name brand, but I hope they do the job. I’ll be retesting my water soon to verify it works. It was well packaged but it could have been packaged better. Thankfully mine came without any damage.I went with this filter over others due to what appears to be a higher quality ballast that also claims to be UL listed. This one also includes numerous bulbs which should mean I don’t need to purchase any for a few years. It does only include one quartz sleeve, but does come with extra silicone seals and an extra mount.Using sharkbite connectors and thick Teflon tape with thread sealant, there are no leaks at the water pipes, and just using the silicone rings, none at the ends of the tube either.My tip is plan carefully to make sure you have everything you need prior to cutting your pipes.I’ll update my review for if for any reason I have an issue with the system. So far so good.

Very easy to install. No problems with directions. I used PEX tubing with Shark Bite connectors for most of it. I did put 10 pieces of copper pipe on the filter connections due to the degrading nature of UV light. Had a new well dug and despite repeated chlorinations, was unable to pass the coliform tests. Added the UV light and everything came back perfect. I did add a 5 micron pre filter, as was recommended in the directions, and have had no problems. I also used a quality plumbers tape and didn't have any leaks. Easy and much more affordable than what the plumber wanted to charge. I did not notice an appreciable drop in water pressure through the pre-filter or the UV filter.

Simple to install and operate. No damage with shipping. The metal mounting clamps are superior to the plastic snap in clamps of some brands. Note: I bought this to assist my home made commercial quality reverse osmosis system used to reduce maple sap during the syrup production season. The UV filter:sanitizer is designed for water, which has less viscosity that sap with sugar concentrated as it runs through the RO. It appears the multiple passes through the UV used in my RO system helps to overcome the viscosity issue and may provide an affordable alternative to the much more expensive UV systems manufactured for the maple sugar industry. Installed late this season, I have not used the UV enough to declare a conclusion, but so far it appears this UV product helps to kill microorganisms and adds some clarity to the sap, with additional filtration, of course.
