Stop here, your search is over.
My eyes were glazing over from all the time I spent looking at MP3 players on Amazon and watching review videos on YouTube as well as searching the Internet in an effort to find the player with the best features at the best price. I was not going to spend over $200+ for a Astell&Kern A&Norma or a Hiby. I also didn’t want an MP3 player on the other end of the price spectrum, such as those you can find priced at $40 or less.I was looking at players priced in the middle ground and there are a number of them both here on Amazon and on eBay. Offerings found at the mid and lower tier price points are often marketed under different sometimes comical names. This one falls neatly into that category and I stumbled across it here on Amazon. It didn’t have any reviews, was packed with all the features that I was looking for and was being sold for $80, a price point just a little above the $60 model I was leaning toward on eBay.I took a chance and bought it; the MP3 player arrived two days later. It came in a nice box with a clear TPU case, a USB charging/data transfer cord and some cheap earphones. The player itself was in a protective sleeve and had a preinstalled screen guard; it arrived with the battery charged and a generic 64 Gb MicroSD card inserted in the slot on the bottom but not locked in place giving the impression that they wanted you to see it was there.I replaced the supplied MicroSD card with a 128 Gb Sandisk Extreme that I had my library of 3,600 songs preinstalled on. While all the other MP3 players I looked at were running Android 8 or 9; this one is running Android 13 with the Play Store, Spotify, Pandora and a host of useful apps installed, including the music player I like the best, Musicolet. The player had no problem locating my music on the MicroSD card and displayed tabs for song, album and artist view along with album artwork.Bluetooth connection to my speakers and earphones was quick and easy and the WiFi signal is strong. The rotary volume knob is metal, nicely gnurled to make it easy to use and has detents that cause it to audibly click as you turn the knob. The only nitpick I have with this player is the volume control isn’t as linear as it would be due to this detent feature. The knob is easily rotated and mimics a similar control knob on the aforementioned, Astell& Kern. This takes me to the quality of the unit, suffice it to say that it is very well made with a glass front and back. The edge is metal, with physical buttons on the right side including power, play/pause and skip track backward and forward. There is a 1/8 earphone jack on the bottom and a USB-C charging port that can also be used as USB to go for transferring files. The MicroSD card slot is located on the bottom too. The touchscreen is very responsive with a capacitive Home Screen spot on the bottom. Tap the power button to turn the screen off and hold it down for a couple of seconds to turn on or off. I have noted that occasionally turning off the screen will inadvertently turn the player off. Another thing I noticed was a spotty Bluetooth connection with my earphones; if I moved they would disconnect then reconnect. I isolated the problem to the earphones by connecting the player to Bluetooth speakers and taking the player to different areas of the house, all with no loss of connection. The player has a built in speaker that doesn’t sound too bad. Of course you can’t expect high volume levels or any substantial bass from a small internal speaker. This is a lossless player with high fidelity sound, an HD camera on the back and a front facing camera. It has an HD IPS screen and HD video playback capability. The battery is 2,500 mah and lasts for a decent amount of time. This MP3 player has some heft to it, which contributes to the quality feel but might seem heavy in your pocket. The takeaway being that this Yeoodop MP3 player punches well above its price point in terms of quality, features and performance; I have no idea why they are marketing it on Amazon as a kid’s player. This feature rich player is definitely designed for the quality conscious adult buyer.

decent little thing
i got this with the intention of having something besides my phone to listen to music on at work (part of my job is unloading a truck and i’d rather replace a glorified mp3 player than my phone) so for me it’s perfect.SCREEN LAG - there’s a bit of lag with the screen, so if you set a swipe code on the device it can be a bit frustrating to unlock as the lag will skip the first portion of the code, other than that it doesn’t bother me.SOUND QUALITY - it sounds good for the price! i wasn’t expecting much so i was pleasantly surprised when it DIDNT sound like the inside of a microwave.BATTERY LIFE - i only use this for music and i have a word game or two downloaded on here, with that in mind the battery has lasted me about two days of on and off use including a 7 hour shift at work with nonstop music. i also use the auto shutoff feature which turns the device automatically at a time i set at night which probably helps.OVERALL - a cute little device. after clearing up a lot of unnecessary pre downloaded apps and messing around with the settings it’s just what i was needing. the buttons on the side are great when i don’t want to pull it out to skip a song. the bluetooth and wifi works well. the camera sucks but if you bought this for the camera i am judging you. harshly and severely. only thing i wish is for a better screen protector, which will definitely not happen but hey. a guy can dream.it isn’t the most high tech thing ever but it serves its purpose.

You will waste time and money buying this
It will work for a little bit but even then its extremely slow and difficult to get working. After de bloating this thing to its limits (deleting all the AI apps and unnecessary android apps hogging the CPU), it was still lagging, auto shutting down, and hallucinating touch screen gestures. Just using youtube had it huffing and puffing, it was only decent when I used mp4s and mp3s of my media for it (which took hours to download). You can't transfer files from your computer, so you have to either use termux linux commands like yt-dlp, or use audio applications like spotify which are ad-ridden and slow. After only 3 weeks the battery stopped working/wouldn't charge using usb-c chargers, so I am writing this to say I wasted my time (~10 hours) and money ($80) by buying this piece of trash. DONT BUY THIS

At least they refunded me
It was very nice at first. About month and half later the battery would run down fast and finally just flashed off and never came back on.
