USB C Hub Type C Dock Adapter - USB C Dock 5 In 1 with 4K HDMI (30Hz), 2 USB 3.0 Ports, SD/TF Card Reader, Compatible with MacBook Pro/Air and More Type-C Laptops Or Devices

I bought it for a simple purpose of having just one cord going in to my work laptop and the task of the dock is to display via HDMI on my 3440x1440 monitor and deliver power to the laptop. With native resolution it does 60Hz which is perfectly enough for work. I connected my dell power brick directly to usb c on the dock and it delivers power without any issues or overheating - I was I bit worried as it is tiny. Most of the exterior is aluminium and there's blue led(s) inside the dock which makes finding ports easy without being to bright and distracting. Not planning to ever have to use any of the usbs but the card reader definitely will come useful although I haven't tested it's performance yet. If I had to be picky I'd fancy 4 silicon sticker feet as it's light and I think it could help to stop it moving around while heavy cables like HDMI pull on it with their weight - I'll get some from Wilko so not an issue.

I use it for my PC and iPad as the hub for extra USB connections and SD card adapter. + Did not notice performance issues + micro SD and normal SD ports + Made of plastics, but well assembled + Has a light inside I guess for you to check if it is connected - Cable is stiff and with iPad can get annoying sometimes as you cannot bend it or make it smaller

So recently bought a new Mac Mini and as with many latest model Mac computers it's loaded with USB C ports. Wanted to be able to make the most of them so bought this to give me options. Not a lot to say about it other than it does it's job. Would have liked the cable to be a little longer so it would sit exactly where I want it, but it's probably perfect length if I was using it with a MacBook. Looks nice and has a high quality feel and apparent build quality. Would recommend for anyone looking to get hte most out of their Macs USB C ports. Worth noting I've only used the USB ports and card reader slots. Not had the chance to use the USB C pass through or HDMI ports.

I've got one of the newer HP Spectre laptops which has USB C connectors on it - this was one of my specific requirements for a laptop, however the smaller they make them then the less ports you tend to get. This adaptor provides a wealth of connectivity options via a single USB C port. I've found it particularly useful when out and about as due to having a card reader built in as well, I can copy photos from my camera directly from the card whilst also being able to hook my phone up to the laptop at the same time via a standard USB port. The other big advantage is that I have a good mains USB charger that can connect to this and fast charge the laptop and all connected devices at the same time due to it's USB C input port. The unit is smaller than it looks in the picture which is a good think - its really compact and fits nicely in my laptop bag and is very light weight.

My Mac Book Pro (MBP) came with the new USB C connector leaving me searching for a converter for all my normally used accessories. This Hub did just the job and fantastically! It has just the right amount of connections and with a HDMI output which is excellent for streaming if you don't have a smart TV. A very robust feel and asthetics to match the MPB this device is a winner and comes in at so much better value that it's weightier priced apple equal. Recommended.

The item work as expected but not really since the Type C connection has only power output but no data transfer. Thought it was implied in the argument of “all the function of Type C” but it is like this… meh, it works for what it works but makes me feel like I want my money back 😅

I spent two weeks troubleshooting my brand new 2018 Macbook pro (and on another 2017 Macbook just to be sure) with intermittent mouse connectivity issues. Turns out it was this hub all along. The hub is actually really good otherwise and solid and nicely designed and was working perfectly otherwise, but I had to return it due to this defect, as my mighty mouse 2 (and a cheaper sandstrom version) continually dropped out.

Over all does exactly why it says on the tin , simples
