Works just as it should. Was so super easy to set up. My great aunt’s old phone quit working on her so we ordered this one and it works great. She can see the buttons easily and it rings loudly for her to hear. There are a bunch of features like caller Id that are handy to try and avoid all the spam calls she gets on her line. She is very happy with it and that makes me happy with it too

I am an old fogey who's been using a corded phone for decades because I don't believe in throwing away something that still works. In recent times, however, it had developed scratchy background noise to the point of me not being able to hear the other party. And they were able to hear it, too. It was time to change.I chose this model because it has a large keypad, great for my fingers and failing eyesight. It has a screen on it so I can tell who's calling and if I am entering the number correctly. It has a volume control, so I don't even need to hold the handset up to my face. The only drawbacks are that it needs to be plugged into a power source and the fact that the cordless handset makes it possible for anyone tuned into the same frequency to listen in on my conversations. But at this point, I am willing to make those concessions.

this system is 'adequate' for a landline phone system. Things I don't like about it: 1) the buttons on the handsets are 'soft' and 'squishy', instead of 'clicking', and pushing them doesn't always make them work well. 2) the face of the handsets is 'glossy', and reflets readily, often making it hard to read the display. 3) Instructions are, more of less, adequate. Had the devil of a time trying to figure out how to retrieved my answering machine msgs remotely. 4) the 'base' speaker' has poor sound quality, and for some unfathomable reason, has the speaker located on the BACK side of the unit, making it hard to hear clearly. Personally, I prefer the old AT&T system I had before with a nice base unit.. Not recommended.

I could not find an additional extension phone that would couple into my old Vtech system. This one won't couple in with the old system, but it still works on its own, even though it is on the same line as the old system. The new phone and the old system don't interfere with each other, even though they are on the same line.
