Easy roof basket access!
For quite a while now, I've contemplated relocating my spare tire to the roof basket. The question has always been though, how do I get it down if ever needed? The answer of course, is with this ladder. Not only can I easily slide the tire up the frame of the ladder and into the basket, but I can slide it back down even easier (thanks to gravity!). The ladder is nice and sturdy, and it's a perfect fit for not only the basket on my Explorer, but also for the roof platform of my CX-50 Meridian Edition. And I love how easy it is to collapse and store away in the rear cargo area.

Pretty good ladder, exactly what I needed for my car's roof rack
I wanted a collapsible ladder that I could rook onto my new Gobi roof rack for my Jeep. Something a bit sturdy, and more importantly that could hook onto the roof rack itself. Saw this and got it, and am pretty pleased. It collapses to about 3ft; it's not small, but it sure is sturdy. Had this propped into the dirt on Mt Pinos during the recent meteor shower so I could climb on top of my vehicle. Having the hooks on top made it super secure.Another thing I liked is when collapsing the rungs, the it doesn't close "all the way" at first. It keeps about a 2-inch clearance until you collapse the next rung. Basically this allows you to hit the release latches and let the top section slide down unassisted, without worrying about it slamming onto your fingers. Makes tear-down/collapsing it super-easy!Fully collapsed it's still a decent heft, and not the smallest thing in the world. But it does collapse, and lightweight for most to carry by themselves. You're not going to get something sturdy and easy-to-climb without some size, and I say the trade-off is well worth it!(Apologies for the dim photo! But you can see how the ladder is propped onto the side of my vehicle, and its top hooks are secured over my roof rack)

"RIKADE" Ladder. Bad Name For a Decent Ladder!
I just received my ladder and, for the price, I am quite happy. It feels pretty solid and sturdy. It's lightweight, but not so much that it feels like it's of poor quality. I haven't used it yet, as it is for use somewhere else, but I am fairly confident it will be just fine. I am, however, just now realizing that the ladders brand name is "RIKADE" which, depending on how you pronounce it can be read as "Rickety" as in "a rickety old ladder that needs to be replaced immediately, because it is no longer safe to use!". That realization is a bit disheartening! Oh well! I guess we'll find out if the name is misleading or dead on...

Love this ladder! Attic work made easy.
Got this ladder to climb up into my attic without having to bang up the walls and furniture with my big ladder. Works like a charms, easy to use and climb. My a bit over 200 lbs and it holds me up well. Would recommend. The hooks on it are a plus.

Versatile and Sturdy
I have been searching for quite awhile for a compact ladder that would store easily and not bump into walls and furniture when moving it around the house or garage. This ladder was a perfect fit for those needs. It is quite easy to extend and stores very nicely on my slat wall. This particular ladder is the 10.5' version and easily allows me to access up to the top of my 9' ceilings. Fully collapsed, with the removable hooks attached, it is only 36" high and weighs a mere 18 pounds. The instruction manual is adequate, but your best instruction is to actually start using the ladder. The locking clips snap into place as they should but I would recommend you making sure you confirm that they are latched before climbing it. I found that you don't have to have all the sections extended to use it. My pictures show this. When collapsing the ladder, start from the lowest sections first. The instructions mention this, but it isn't immediately obvious why until you try it for yourself. Make sure you are supporting the upper sections and gently lower them when you release the locks... and keep your hands out of the way! The upper section that you are collapsing can come down quickly if you're not supporting it.Overall I'm very happy with it.

Lord it’s rickety, but it gets the job done
5’ 10” - 250lbs. I bought this ladder to reach our windows on the second level of our apartment. It stows nicely under the bed. I am still alive to write this review, so it works, but you will shake and wobble on this thing. The upper rungs feel like you’re standing on toothpicks, so if you shake in the knees when you’re 10’ in the air on a collapsible ladder, let’s hope your balance is good.

Perfect for loft
Let me tell you, I have looked and looked and priced and priced all kind of ladders that would give me access to my loft and still fit flush against the wall when not in use. I prices such ladders somewhere between $500 (DIY) & $2500. I found this on Amazon and thought what the heck, let me try it. Amazon has a good return policy and if it doesn’t work I’ll just send it back. This ladder was around $80 for me and it works perfectly! It retracts enough to climb the ladder and feel secure and then I can fit it flush against the wall when not in use. I’m very pleased with this purchase and more pleased with the amount of money I saved going with this option. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and easy to use!
This is exactly what we needed to give us a quick and easy access ladder to our attic access in our garage. It stores away taking up minimal space and is very lightweight to bring out when we need it. The hooks at the top keep it very secure so we don't need someone to hold it at the bottom to keep it from slipping. We have found that we use it for a lot of other small chores as it is lighter to take out and set up that our larger stepladders. All in all we are very pleased with the function and durability of this ladder. Highly recommend it.

Love my loft ladder & some extra information
I ended up LOVING this ladder, but... I didn't get all of the answers I hoped for before buying. So, here are the things I would have wanted to know first:- the DEPTH of each step is 1.5"- the WIDTH of the widest part of the ladder (bottom support piece) is 18.25"- the ladder feels super sturdy- the hooks can be turned front or back. Because they can be turned to the back, I don't have to display all of the stickers in the room when someone wants to use the loft. The ladder can be turned around.- the "extra steps" (when you don't require it to be extended fully) don't have to sit at the bottom. They can be anywhere. The picture shows them at the top, which is where they will be for the loft bed.- I gave 5-stars for light-weight even though it isn't really light. If it were lighter I'd be afraid it wasn't quite so sturdy, so that isn't a factor for me... I think the weight is just right. There were many aluminum ladders, but I really wanted black so that it would match the accents in the room it will go in. This is a nice satin black finish. I'm super pleased with my purchase! It went on sale for prime days and I couldn't resist. Will post again if it doesn't end up living up to expectations... but for now I think it's perfect for our new high loft ladder.(P.S. The area the picture shows isn't its' final place.)
