Carpenter's sixth album shines brightly, showcasing her evolution with two singles that reflect a delightful Dolly Parton influence. The opening track, "Taste," offers a refreshing and catchy vibe, setting a lively tone that perfectly complements the album's cohesive sound. Meanwhile, "Please, Please, Please" stands out as a summer gem, effortlessly capturing listeners with its infectious melody."Good Graces" delivers a vibrant R’n’B vibe that perfectly captures the essence of the 90s and early 2000s with its upbeat and catchy sound – an air of Ariana Grande is also felt on this track. "Sharpest Tool" showcases a distinct Dolly influence, presenting a fast-paced, airy track that exudes a sense of brightness and energy. "Coincidence" features a relaxed guitar-driven arrangement that embraces simplicity and charm, while "Bed Chem" offers a silky experience with its 80s-inspired synth elements and a style reminiscent of Toto, creating a smooth listening journey. "Espresso" is bombastic, fun and brilliantly complements "Please, Please, Please," creating an engaging transition. In "Dumb & Poetic," she critiques the typical guy who believes that meditation can erase his problematic behaviour. Meanwhile, "Slim Pickins" offers a straightforward, guitar-driven folk sound, drawing inspiration from Dolly. "Juno" offers a fresh and captivating twist on the teen pregnancy narrative from the 2007 indie classic, transforming it into an alluring shorthand. In "Lie to Girls," Carpenter reflects on a past relationship, uncovering the painful realization that emotional abuse can often be a cycle we create ourselves. And last but not least the closing track "Don’t Smile" captivates with its atmospheric, laid-back vibe, showcasing smooth synths and ethereal vocals. The song features siren-like melodies and lyrics reminiscent of the styles of Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan. The arrangement also has an element of The Weeknd. This enchanting piece arrives perfectly timed for the summer season.

Perfect pop album
This album is full of pop bangers. All killer, no filler! A no skip album. I’m totally NOT the demographic of the usual Sabrina Carpenter fan but with tunes like these, I don’t care! Such a fun album and just a little bit cheeky 😊

Don’t get the hype
This girl has as little talent as cabbage. Her so called music is boring and uninspired and also bland. No character. Vocal are dull and Jack Antonoff wrote some of the songs to make Swifties (Taylor’s fans) buy this album. The bar is very low and album is a proof of that. What happened to good proper pop music where was funny and interesting not a rehash of the same songs until clicks with TikTok. This album is just a compilation of random songs, no cohesive or original.

Great album but could do w/o the vulgarity.
Bought this for my wife but o like it, too.I like espresso, taste and bad chem.I’m 58 but I know good music when I hear it.I can’t believe this is the same little girl that voiced Princess Vivien in Sofia the First. My daughter always watched that show.
