Awesome Ankle Brace
First let me say that the WHCOOL Customer Support Team goes above and beyond. I appreciate all they did to ensure I was satisfied with their product. They reached out after my purchase, quickly responded to my questions, and then sent a replacement which fits better.I have had a drop foot for over 20 yrs. Some years I was good and wore a leg brace (- cumbersome and required larger shoes to fit the bulky brace). Some years I went without a brace or any support (- which led to many stumbles and falls when my foot would snag and trip me up). I found that wearing hiking boots was a decent compromise but even that isn’t ideal year after year. I had tried an ankle brace in the past but it, too, was bulky in my shoe and only did a mediocre job of keeping my foot from dropping when I walked. What caught my eye with reviews for this brace was that it is thin enough to fit well into shoes. I agree. My foot slides into my normal shoe just fine while wearing the brace. And the brace provides LOTS of support. Ideally I want something that will keep my leg-foot in an L (- 90 degrees) position and keep my foot from dropping when I walk (- which is why hiking boots were a decent compromise.) This brace holds my foot and leg firmly yet comfortably … and I can wear it with my regular shoes. I like how easy it is to cinch the laces snug. And how firm and rigid it holds my ankle. Wins all around. For me this brace isn’t simply a short term solution for a sprained ankle (- which it would also be excellent for) but a long term solution for a permanent problem. So glad I found and purchased this brace.

Supportive Ankle Brace
I have a partial tear in the tendon on the bottom of my foot-toes to ankle. Very painful! My podiatrist told me to get a brace for ankle & foot repair. I ordered this one from WHCOOL & I am so glad I did! The fit is perfect, the packaging was appealing & secure. It also included great instructions, easy to follow, & all the information you would need to get in touch with them if need be. I have not needed to do so! The brace is supportive & easy to apply. They even included an ankle sleeve for support following recovery. Very nice gesture! I also received an email today from WHCOOL explaining any possible scenarios & how to handle them, or to just get directly in touch with them for help! Wow! The real Old Fashioned Customer Service as it was back in my day! So very appreciated!THANK YOU WHCOOL for being such a conscientious Seller on Amazon & providing heartfelt follow-up! You are the best!!

Works For Me
Been suffering from a weak left ankle due to some nerve damage. Especially noticeable when I'm playing golf and walking on uneven or hilly ground. Have only been using this ankle support for a couple of weeks but does support my ankle and keep it from "turning" on me when on uneven ground. A little confusing on how to put it on (put it on backwards the first time. Hint - Insert your toes into the LONG end of the brace not the SHORT end). Watched the videos and figured out what I was doing wrong. No issues wearing it with shoes, not too tight, not too loose. It provides the support I was looking for which is to keep my ankle stable. Only 4 Stars because I've only had for a short time and can't adequately judge long term use and quality of construction.

I have both this and the ASO, and I tend to prefer this one.
I have tried this and the ASO brand. What I prefer about this one-- the body of the brace, the part that goes against your foot, is a soft, pliable sort of fleecy material unlike the ASO which is like a backpack material and more stiff. I have had a lot of trouble figuring out whether to use the Small or the Medium of either brand-- both bunch up in my instep and heel. NEITHER brand fits inside my shoes except my Keen sandals, and those are stretched to their limit. My "normal" foot is 11.5" and with the brace on, my injured foot is 13.25" so I am not sure what kind of shoe they think can manage a 1.75" difference. The size guide tells you to measure your foot-- the injured one or the "normal" foot? I measured both- my "normal" foot is under 12" and the injured foot is 12.25" when it is not swelling. The small works on my injured foot with the straps all nearly too short, and with the medium I have all kinds of extra strap. BOTH sizes bunch up under my foot when I cinch the support straps tight enough to give support. The velcro does hold very well. The vertical support parts are the "scratchy" side of the velcro and the medium on the outside ankle is almost 2" higher than the brace but the "scratchy" is not grabbing my clothes. As far as pain relief-- my pain is about the same either with or without the brace. I'm still early in healing, just out of the CAM boot and into the brace a week ago. I can only walk 10 minutes or so and start getting pain in the dorsiflexion when I step off the ball of my foot. I am still struggling with an even gait especially when it is fatigued, so I am still using a cane or crutch if I am on my feet longer than 10-15 minutes.

Very good brace for the money
After an ankle roll or two, my daughter needed something that could keep her ankle supported without making her feel like she was wearing medieval armor. Enter: the WHCOOL Slim-Fit Ankle Brace. This thing means business. The lace-up design makes it super easy to adjust to the perfect snug fit, and the auto-shaped pads give that extra bit of stability right where you need it. Plus, it’s breathable! The air fabric actually keeps things cool — no swamp foot after a workout (or a casual limp to the fridge). It fits comfortably in her shoe, doesn’t slide around, and gives her the confidence to get back to activity without the constant fear of re-twisting her ankle like a pretzel. Also, bonus points for being slim and discreet — no bulky brace peeking out like I’m preparing for battle.Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just want some added support during sports or workouts, this brace is a solid pick. WHCOOL really brought the cool with this one!
