Looks brand new! Fairly simple to install. Some of the screws are small but other than that it’s a simple installation and everything went flawlessly

Used this for my A2159 2019 MBP after getting the pink bars. I was quoted $700 for a repair from Apple. The screen itself works fine. The display is indistinguishable from the original one and the screen itself includes all the same branding, but the rubber around the bottom of the screen is not as flush as the original (shown in picture). A minor detail no one would ever notice unless they had been spending a couple of hours staring at it under a magnifying glass like I was. Came well packaged in a protective cardboard case. I was concerned it would be damaged in shipping but that’s virtually impossible the way it was shipped. Shown in picture. This is listed as a “frequently returned item” and I can see why. It is not because of issues with the product, it is because this is a difficult repair to do. Lots and lots of very small parts. Some tips based on my experience: Get about 7 shot glasses to hold the different tiny screws from each step. Also get a magnifying glass with a light. I picked up one on a boom that clamps to my desk for about $30. Hopefully you have an external mouse and keyboard handy and a second screen. If you plug in a second monitor and then close the lid, the second monitor will become the primary monitor and then you can run the command to turn off auto boot. Note that turning off auto boot still makes the screen turn on briefly when the lid is opened, but it does not boot. The instructions are pretty simple but the written instructions are in a slightly different order than the video instructions, which makes it confusing if you’re following both, but the written instructions are more useful and include very good, color images. The illustrations matched my A2159 perfectly. One last word of advice. Be very gentle and patient with the screws. They strip very easily. Unscrew slowly and don’t use any force when putting it back together. This repair does not require particular technical skill, but it does require both patience and a little bit of intelligence. This is not an overly difficult repair, but it is not an “anyone can do it” repair.

My screen on my MacBook Pro was broken and being in the middle of a nursing program I was determined to get it fixed instead of buying a new MacBook. AppleCare expired, and I was quoted almost $600 to fix...so I looked at replacing the screen elsewhere but it was still $400+ to fix. After watching replacement videos I looked for a screen and got this one and my husband was able to put it together while I was in class. Shipping was overnight which was a plus and he used the enclosed directions. The screen didn't come on at first and he watched videos to make sure the screen connector was correctly (which it wasn't at first). Now my computer is functional. No issues so far, but I gave 4 stars because I can tell the difference in screen quality (between the original Mac screen and the replacement). Other than that, I can accept a functional computer for 200 vs paying the 600 that Apple quoted me.

Great product. Included everything you could possibly need to complete the replacement, including a magnetic board to hold all of the *very tiny* screws. Each screwdriver is a different color and the instructions tell you which color to use. The instructions were very clear and included lots of pictures. There's also a video. My only complaint with the instructions was that there are many typos -- the instructions need to be proofread. Additionally, I know other reviews have mentioned bad camera quality -- this is unfortunately true. I don't have a huge need for a quality camera so I'm fine with it. Otherwise, I'm a happy customer! The screen looks great. To those who are about to attempt the same replacement: - Go slow, and be patient. There are a LOT of really finicky pieces that took a while to get out. - Read the entire directions TWICE before starting. Make sure you are doing things right. - For some sections, it's helpful to have a second set of hands. - Make sure you have good lighting, even a flashlight or phone light is helpful. - When prying things up, I found that using a twisting motion works really well.

I bought this replacement screen for $240.44 on 10/3/25. I received and installed it on 10/14/25. On 11/29/25 the screen started looking bad again. 15 days out of the return window my new screen is junk

So far so good! Find a good YouTube video and go slowly. The screen is very vibrant and I dont notice any differences from OEM. The included tool kit is a must.

Would’ve Rated 4 Stars if Listing Didn’t Claim 1:1 Replica. Given that the M1 MacBook Air is about 5 years old, I decided to go with this budget friendly replacement screen for $180. Here are some things to be aware of. First, the exterior build quality is lack luster, especially for a listing that claims 1:1 replicas of oem screens. The paint color of the Amazon screen is much more washed out than the vibrant rose gold color of the original Apple screen (images look better than real life). Also, the cut/engraving for the Apple logo is much more recessed into the metal on the Amazon screen, causing a much more significant dip if you slide your finger over the Apple logo, where as the engraving for the original Apple screen is very shallow. On top of this, the Amazon screen has very crude cuts/engraving around the reflective logo, and looks much lower in quality than the original Apple screens logo. I suspect that this Amazon screen is made of a lower quality metal, as by rough hand tests, the Amazon screen seems to weigh less, and is not as cold to the touch as the original metal Apple screen is. The hinges may also be slightly lower quality, leading the a less smooth opening experience, although I find this not to be an issue. The last thing I noticed regarding the build of the screen is that the “MacBook Air” text beneath the LCD is more gold and shiny on the original Apple screen whereas the Amazon screen has a more pink colored text that is not as shiny. As for the screen quality, I think it is quite good. I received this laptop broken, so I am not sure if it had True Tone, but currently it does not seem to have True Tone, despite this listing saying it does. I did have an M1 MacBook Pro however, and the screen looks very similar to that screen. Same with the camera, I was never able to use the original camera, but it seems similar in quality to the M1 MacBook Pro. Overall, this screen is a decent 4 star screen, considering the age of the M1 family of computers and the low cost of this kit. Unfortunately leaving 3 stars however due to seller claims that I believe are false.

A must buy! I’ll be transparent, initially I was super nervous to replace my screen given the amount of work I knew was needed from watching various YouTube videos. All the small screws and all the tools can be overwhelming. I was VERY pleased to have a professionally put together kit of literally everything needed. The instructions were clear and easy to use and I loved the magnetic screw mat/organizer.
