Hands down the BEST tablet for kids
The Kids Fire tablet is the device I recommend to all parents. I love the parental controls and the settings that ensure content is appropriate for the selected age group. I don't worry about the kids stumbling onto videos, apps, games or other content that is inappropriate with this device. It's very easy for kids to navigate and the Amazon Kids Free time allows myriad content to download for only a few dollars a year. I also like that you can opt to add apps such as Netflix and Disney+ and sign in with your account so kids can watch movies and shows. I also love all the e-books and audio books available.

Great tablet great price you can not beat it thanks amazon
Works great and amazon stands behind they're product both of my kids have 1 somehow the screen cracked. Amazon replaced it right away so it wouldn't cut my sons hand. Very thankful for that. They have had the tablets for about 3 years they still hold charge and work like they are supposed too. I also like how you can control the things they are doing by the app notifying you. Its awesome. I would highly recommend this item for your kids you will not be let down. Thanks amazon.

Better than an iPad for kids
We are Apple people over here but we were having such a hard time regulating kids’ iPads and keeping kids from certain content while also allowing them to access kid-appropriate material easily. That being said, the Amazon kids tablet allows us to do these things with ease! I LOVE the parent dashboard. Love that I can make kids read before they have game access and love that I can be sure their apps are age appropriate. I can allow them as much or little time each day and love that I can pause their tablet time from my phone if I need to. We got the Amazon app subscription for free with the purchase and honestly I really love it. Kids can easily browse and download apps with a click of a button. I don’t allow them access to choose from apps that are any additional cost, so that hasn’t been a problem for us. Also, knowing the Amazon subscription makes apps ad free and being able to set the age limit on apps gives me peace of mind knowing kids are safe from being exposed to some weird stuff (I found some of the ads on free apps on their iPads were questionable for my kids). All that to say we love these tablets and would highly recommend for kids! We do have a smaller and older version 7” for kids 3-7 and I do feel this 8 kids pro is def faster at receiving info from dashboard changes on my phone. Sometimes the younger kids version 7”takes a while or needs to be restarted to get the info if I change things on the parent dashboard. Just something to consider if you’re trying to decide between the kids 8 pro and the younger kids 7” version.

I am trying to get support for this device to have it repaired or replaced.
Amazon called and took care of my issues. It took a while on the phone but 100% happy with the result. This is suppose to have a 2 year warranty. I have been trying for a month to try to refund it, get it looked at or replaced. It allows me to click on return and sends me to support and nothing helps and talked to a support person via chat. It is not broken, cracked or misused and has a case. So hopefully Amazon will respond now that I have placed this review. All three of my girls have them all bought on Amazon. This one will not turn on used different chargers and cords and including but not limited to the one it came with. Please contact me so we can get this taken care of.

Great Learning Tool with Parental Controls
I love these iPads for kids because they come loaded with educational games, books, and apps. What’s even better is the parental control app, which lets us manage usage and set time limits. I purchased two, and we absolutely love them!

Frustratingly functional
Replaced an older android tablet with this for my 11yo. The transition has been tough for her. There is very little customization to the UI, can't remove unwanted features and the app options are some what limited. For example on the android tablet, she could organize the apps into categories (games, streaming) whereas the fire tablet is locked to showing everything in one panel. We can't figure out how to remove or clear the recent panel. At the moment it includes all the shows she downloaded for an upcoming trip. This makes the recent view fairly useless with a long list of everything. Last, she has a my little pony game on her tablet that we can't find on the fire store. (There is no official YouTube app, running some web skin in order to provide access.) Signing into the adult view, I see some of these features available, so it's simply the Amazon kids loader creating this view. 😔The kids+ subscription looks to be fun, but lots of young kids content showing up. The Percy Jackson books, and Harry Potter books are all showing up for her to read. Might need to tweak the shown content she range again. Currently 9-12 age range, thinking 10-12 would be better suited for her. Hold on let me go try to find that in the slightly confusing Amazon kids app.The storage hasn't been an issue with the 8"pro model. She's downloaded enough for our road trip, 8hrs, and it isn't complaining.Charging is easier as it uses the more universal usb-c, so no longer need to find that annoying USB micro cable that didn't quite work. The included case is nice but might replace. She really liked having a handle on top. The teal case is a bumper case with a leg to stand on it's own. The stand doesn't today around to use as a handle. One cosmetic gripe, the touch screen has every fingerprint. Might look into a screen protector just to avoid fingerprints.Annoyance: Need to use my adult profile to connect her Bluetooth headphones. She's now worried that if I'm not around she won't be able to reconnect them.

Awesome Battery Life, Faster than Older Versions
I bought these for my kiddos for a long car trip we had coming up (17 hours). I was skeptical because the older tablets are so slow, and my kids are heavily into Roblox. However, these are not slow at all! Roblox never crashed (unless our hotspot had no service), the tablets lasted all day without having to be recharged, they are super easy to download new and exciting games. Overall, they love them! These are also faster than the 5th generation iPads!
