Downloaded & installed the Unifi management server software. Adopted 3 APs. Set the SSID & a few other parts like RADIUS, guest wifi and threat detection. The setup of three APs and the software took about 40 mins. With the POE adapters already provided in the box I was able to run powered ethernet over some lengths of CAT6 to the three APs. All worked flawlessly first time and survived some pretty fierce storms. Continuous WIFI coverage across the whole property. Enterprise grade kit at home user prices.

Popped the hardware on and outside wall and run a PoE CAT5e cable to it. Configured and now I have great WiFi in the whole garden & more importantly WiFi in the man cave / garden office.

Sold in the UK but only includes an EU power lead for the PoE adapter so not able to be used in the UK.

the instructions are awful. you have to go to the website and look through all the downloads to try to find the one(s) that may be relevant. Still unable to get the phone app to connect and update the darn thing....bought a TP link extender that took 2 mins to set up....pfft....won't be buying another of these things in a hurry

Re-packaged item missing any power supply. Returned

Setup is a little tricky but it works great

Excellent item and easy to install if you have a system that is fully functional. More than a basic computer knowledge is required to delve into a Unifi system. Be aware that the support staff expect you to be a specialist and will only provide answers or "assistance' in the form of FAC sheets, which you may find difficult to comprehend. Best if you have friend to help you. Recommended for those with Unifi systems as the meshing capability is definitely worthwhile and increases the coverage of the system.

I installed the AC Mesh unit in an unheated garage where we park our vehicles during the winter. The previous in‑wall model would fail every week or so, disrupting both garage door access, security camera, and lighting. The new unit has been running for several months without a single interruption. I suspect the IPX4 rating may be contributing to this improved reliability, but overall I’m very pleased with its stability since installation. Wi-Fi range isn’t a significant factor in my setup, as the lighting, security camera, and garage door openers are all within 20 feet of the unit. I haven’t encountered any connectivity issues at that distance.
