Unable to plug in US extention cord due to internal misalignment of power adaptor.
The unit was defective on arrival. Tried plugging in my 6' extention cord but the internal workings of the adaptor would not allow the plug to go in. Boo.

Almost there
Nicely designed and sized. Would be better yet if there was a second outlet.

Surprisingly compact voltage converter
This is an unusually small voltage converter built into the size that's most often used just for travel adapters. Supporting up to 800W, it's got a fairly large capacity - it should run almost anything you'd need except for high power heaters, dryers and cooking appliances. If you're not familiar, the voltage of wall outlets differs around the world country to country. The US uses 120V, but many other countries use 220V. A lot of things are designed to use both voltages, especially small electronics wall adapters - your laptop almost certainly supports both and doesn't need a converter, but small appliances with motors often do because the motor is calibrated to run on a particular wall voltage.Separately from the voltage, different countries have different plugs. You often need a travel adapter to handle converting from one plug to another, but all those adapters do is make a direct wiring connection - the device you plug in needs to be compatible with the right voltage. This device puts both features into a single box, so you're covered either way. You can switch the mode - when using a device that can accept 220V or when using this in a 110V country, you turn off the voltage converter, and if you have a device that only takes 110-120V, you enable the converter to reduce the voltage from the wall to a compatible level. The price of all this magic in a box is that the USB ports are pretty wimpy. You get four of them, but they're all limited to 5V/3.4A total capacity shared among them all - enough to charge an ereader or a phone in an emergency, but not enough to fast charge modern day goodies like laptops and fancier cell phones. This really comes down to whether you actually need a voltage converter. Many people do not - check all your electrical stuff for its ratings, and if you see the voltage range printed includes your destination country's voltage, you may just need a plug adapter. If so, you can pick one of the other boxes that looks like this one but which swaps out the voltage converter for a high-current USB charger supporting 100W USB-C PD.But if you need a voltage converter for a particular special-purpose item, this is a great solution in a very compact and convenient form factor. I like it a lot. Just realize the USB portion isn't very powerful.
