These are what I wanted. Thin, light-weight, pure white like porcelain, gold rim is beautiful.These do bend a bit, and will crack/break if bent too much. But for my needs, they are perfect.

I'm going to be honest... I'm cheap. Spending $47 on 100 disposal plates is usually not in my DNA. I only buy thick Chinet paper plates and will reuse them if they don't get messed up, even though I take precautions to prevent that. I saw these and passed them up, but then it dawned on me... I can wash and use the FOCUSLINE Plastic Plates longer than the Chinet plates. Due to the gold trim, you can't put the plates in the microwave. If I feel lazy, I'll use a paper plate so I don't have to wash another dish.The wear is excellent. I can use these plates dozens of times before I feel it's time to change them. The plates look good on the table with the gold ring around them. The gold trim is metallic paint. Otherwise, there wouldn't be the pretty blue flashes in the microwave. I assume the paint indicates attention to detail. The plates will lend a measure of elegance to formal settings. From a distance, they look like real dinnerware. Only from less than 10-15 feet away will someone notice how thin the plates are. Even though the plates are thin, they have enough strength to handle a good deal of food.I must emphasize that you should NOT put these plates in a microwave. I had a suspicion and tested one in my microwave with my finger on the stop button. They are designed for single use with elegance and work well for that, making these plates worth it for caterers and others who wish to have a classy event with easy cleanup—or a cheap guy in his summer home.

Ordered to use at fellowship lunches and for a church event. They are GREAT because they are so heavy. It’s almost a shame to thrown them away. I actually put a few plates in my Bosch, and they came out great, but that negates the disposable factor. Just nicer than paper or Styrofoam plates. Cups could be larger, but a really nice set.

When I first open the box, I was a little confused. I honestly thought these plates were the wrong ones because they look like ceramic. The look, material and thickness are perfect for a disposable plate. The gold rim is just perfect with to give it just some color this way yo can use for casual party or to make it fancy. I also like the "depth" of the plate allows you to for example put some sauce and no spills. Or also perfect for dry food.Since they are thick enough you can actually serve almost any dish without worrying about bending. I used with fork and knife and no scratches so no worries to "eat plastic".These are definitely heavy-duty plates with the look of the real ceramic plate.Perfect to any occasion.
