I live in an area with many lakes and ponds, and a handful of cars end up submerged with trapped drivers. I've bought the hammer-style glass breaker/seat belt cutters, but they have a fatal flaw and aesthetic flaw.The fatal flaw is that storing them in the glove compartment puts them out of the driver's reach. Putting them in the center console gets them close but still inside a compartment that could be hard to open while panicking.The aesthetic (and maybe fatal) flaw is that the hammer-stye units are relatively large and ugly. Appearances should not matter, but they do to some folks. Further, these are not mounted, and if not stored in the glove compartment or center console, they can become dangerous projectiles in a crash.ABOUT THIS PRODUCT --> This rescue tool's form factor is smaller. It comes with a mount, allowing it to be within the driver's hand. It is a good-looking design with easy-to-remove caps over each end. In my tests, all four worked as designed. Two glass disks for testing are included. This is a thoughtful inclusion, though four disks, even if smaller, would make testing all four more convenient.

Seems good, but hope I never have to use them. The sticky tape to adhere them in the car isn’t great in the ones I put in my trunk, but it is holding above my drivers seat.

As advertised. I bought one each for the entire family.

Nice tool, I gave 10 away to family and friends. Hate reading stories of a child or pet locked in a hot car or someone who drove into a lake or river and no one had the presence of mind or the tool to rescue preventing death.

They are not the best out there. But I think they will do the trick. But, I haven’t had to use them…
