Nice, large platform scale for plus sized people. Stable and easy to use. Loud, clear voice announces weight so you don’t have to try and look down at display. An essential tool to help with monitoring weight. I also recommend for anyone who has stability and balance issues.

This scale is very stable and accurate. purchased one for my mother last year and she's been so pleased with it that I decided to get one for myself. She has some balance issues and finds this scale to be easy to step on and off without worry of it tipping. It is very streamlined and low to the floor, with a wide base to stand on.

This is a large, beautiful, thin, white... scale. It takes up quite a bit of floor space, so measure things out first. I got it specifically for that reason. My size 15's hang over the edges of normal-size scales. If the scale is thin, like this one, my toes can hang off the sides and actually touch the floor while I'm weighing myself. So I thought a large scale like this would be better for me. It doesn't seem to be the case. More on that later. The top is a thick glass plate with slightly rounded-off edges, for safety. The top has a design that I wasn't crazy about, but it breaks up the otherwise white surface. I wondered why they put the design on there, and finally figured it was to break up the big expanse of white, like a sort of reference point. If that wasn't their intention, it was still a good idea. The numbers are large and contrast well against the dark background. On our old scale, you had to tap it with your foot just enough for it to turn on and THEN step onto it. You don't have to do that with this scale - just step right on it. Not a deal breaker for sure, but a nice unexpected treat for me. I weigh about 5 pounds MORE on this scale than on the 40+ year old one we had before, but it is closer to what I weigh at the doctor's office. I like this scale for it's better accuracy but my wife likes our old one because of it's, well you figure it out.So if I like this scale because it's accurate, why did I only give it 3 stars for accuracy? You have to stand VERY still on it to weigh yourself. I mean VERY still. I'm 6'4" and must sway like a big tree in the wind, because the numbers keep going up and down when I stand on it. Sometimes it settles down and gives me my weight. Other times it just gives up and shuts off, and I have to start over. The problem might be the loss of balance that comes from getting older. In fact, that probably IS the answer. I just can't figure out how to make it work for me, short of holding onto a towel bar or putting my hand against the wall. When it comes down to it, the size of this scale might be working against me. At any rate, I wouldn't have bought it if I knew this would happen. If you're more stable than I, you might like this sleek glass beauty.

I am a homecare nurse and Ive tried many different scales for my patients but now this is the only one I recommend. It is especially good for the elderly as it is very low profile, wide and easy to use (just step on). I highly recommend this scale!
