Good quality dials, fit the encoders perfectly, the case is great for keeping everything organized. I had a problem with 1 of the included nuts, it seemed stripped. 5 of the 6 included nuts worked to secure the encoders perfectly.

Good quality encoder provided with very nice packaging and peripherals.- Good tactile feel of turns and push-button- Really nice plastic box. It won't last forever, but it's much better than the nylon bag most of these things come in.- Built in switch is wired via a 10KΩ (?) resistor to the + pin.- Washer/nut do a good job at holding the thing to a panel.- pin headers fit perfectly in a breadboard.- The tweezers is also a nice extra.However:- The keycaps are held in place by plastic pins that are stressed in, not by fitting to the half-circle shape of the encoder - these will wear out after several insertion/removals.Photo: an encoder connected to Teensy 3.2 on a breadboard with an RGBW led.

These a are great soft click encoders that I am using on a pro-micro board. They feel similar to what a car stereo turn knob would feel like. The clicks do not require much force and you can easily speed through multiple steps. The plastic case helps assort the items and mine came with all the pieces (knob, washer, nut, encoder). The press on knobs are aluminum, snug fitting and overall decently built. My package was missing the tweezers to which customer service corrected.

Was able to quickly get these up and running with a ChipKit/Arduino. The software I used was able to count up and down based on the knob rotations and reset with the center push button. I took one star off because the knob caps don't sit right in the middle. My application has small tolerances and so when I rotate the knob, it rubs the chassis during rotation because the knob is off center. Minor problem.

Item was received as described, It was securely boxed and in perfect condition. I ran several test on these encoders and am pleased with the quality and overall performance of this product.

If you look carefully at the production image you can see that the symmetrical internal shape of the knobs does not match the asymmetrical shape of the rotary head - it has a dent, and so when you try to put a knob on such a head it looks like slightly bent aside, especially when you turn it. theses encoders and knobs look spectacular i was not expecting this level of quality, absolute bang up job.
