Exhibition (Whitechapel: Documents of Contemporary Art) Paperback – August 15, 2014

Great book

The book gives an overview of the exhibition as a social construct and focuses a lot on the relationship of art and display. I was disappointed that some of the most interesting curators and writers in the field of exhibition making were not included who have contributed to the curatorial shift this book is based on. Where are Dorothea von Hantelmann, Maria Lind, Maria Halavajova, Rasheed Araeen or even more obvious names like Jens Hoffmann and Okwui Enwezor? Not the final word on this topic but a good start.
