We absolutely love snuggling up as a family to read Scott Gustafson books! The illustrations are so beautiful and the stories well written. Books are made well and have held up with with little hands using them.

I was recommended to purchase a book of bedtime stories for my grandchildren. They are all either early readers or almost readers. The person who recommended this book suggested this age still needs a bedtime story book that is read by an adult even though they are early readers. Sometimes, they are just too tired to try to read so these stories allow me to read to them with beautiful illustrations. The stories themselves are ones the little ones really try to read but they allow me to read the difficult parts while they lose themselves in the story.

It is worth it as a long term investment... beautiful illustrations and stories worth reading to your kids and works well on the Android App, however it does not display properly on the following platforms: iPad, Cloud Reader, Windows 8 Reader. Within each paragraph, the text is printed on top of each other like it is performing a 1/4 space line feed. It overlaps even in zoom mode making it impossible to read. I kept it because it was on sale for $2 and I have hope that it will be fixed in the future.

While looking for illustrated children's books I came upon this gem. Great artwork in here! I was told that my granddaughter likes illustrated stories, and this one fills the bill nicely

It was to be expected that I absolutely love this book; I have been an avid fan of Scott Gustafson's work for years now. I could go on and on about the lovely selection of stories, interesting characters, beautiful environments and luscious colors... and all that would be reason enough to buy this book. But the truly exciting feature of Scott's work comes from all these wonderful qualities combined: the suspension of disbelief. As fantastical as all these tales are, for the duration of the bedtime story, they become real. Tangible, almost. I've had some delicious cake with mice, lost a green umbrella to a tiger, and suddenly found myself far closer to a giant ogre than any person in his right mind would dare to tread... Another brilliant book!

Je n'ai pas choisi d'offrir cet ouvrage pour les histoires (classiques parmi les classiques), mais pour les très belles illustrations, qui ne peuvent que faire rêver un enfant.

WOW! This book is beautiful. Scott Gustafson has an incredible imagination- he really brings the stories to life. Very, very pleased. We will enjoy this book for a long time
