Always had a hard time dialing in a belt for a good fit. Always seemed to be in between the holes that I needed. Had some cheep cloth non holed belts but they could be a little tricky at times...Discovered this ratchet type that I didn't know existed. Looked at many but some were pricey so I gave this one a shot since it was inexpensive and nice looking....I love it! Total game changer. Very happy with purchase and time will tell how it holds up but price wise, functionality and looks it's a total winner. States to be leather but I see no markings or no distinct leather smell but regardless either way I'm happy with it!

The ratchet is nice quality and easy to use. It looks really nice on and stays put once locked in place.

When I saw these ratchet belts released a few years ago, I always wanted one. They were expensive so I never got one. I ordered this one and so far I am loving it! Belt can be easily cut to the perfect length if you choose to, however the ratcheting system gives you a lot of leeway for adjustments. It is comfortable, looks like quality leather that will last and releases with a flip of a button! My only concern is the ratcheting mechanism itself. It is made of plastic and may wear out quickly causing the belt not to hold? I will keep you updated as I wear it nearly daily.

Received the belt and my first impression was it looks sharp and functionally the ratcheting mechanism works well. The advent of the ratcheting belt was a game changer for those who want a great fitting belt with the versatility to adapt in small increments versus the squeeze between different holes on a traditional belt. For the quality of the product this is a great value and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

A couple years ago, I purchased a ratchet belt for my husband, and he fell in love with the design and look of them. It was expensive, but it did last for several years. However, it was starting to get worn, and I started looking for a replacement. That's when I found the VATAN Men's Belt Leather Ratchet Belt.I have to say, I am fairly impressed! While the quality isn't as good as the original belt, the price difference more than makes up for it. Seriously, this belt is less than a third of the price I paid for that one! The ratchet mechanism is plastic, which I expect will wear over time at a rate faster than the more expensive belt that had metal ratchets embedded in the belt. The look of this belt is great too. A nice deep black color with a smooth matte black buckle - very clean and modern!In trying it on, the belt worked perfectly, ratcheting up to right where he needed it to be and staying there until it was removed. The lack of holes on this belt is great design element; over time, the holes tend to look worn and get out of shape and just destroy the look of a crisp, clean belt. I like the fact the belt is genuine leather, though not as high quality as our original belt. Again, that one cost three times the price, so the value of this belt at this price cannot be beat. I am thinking of getting a different color for him as well.

My hubby and I love the look of this belt and the easy to use ratchet design. The black matte design is classy and yet can be worn with anything. The fit was good, true to size and it feels very durable and heavyweight. The release tab under the buckle takes a little getting used to but once you learn how to use it, it works very well. The location of the release tab being on the right/underside of buckle may be difficult for some to find and use but otherwise this is a great belt.

Doesn't get stuck, easy to adjust to size, great gift !

Seems to last me for a year.
