This model is the sweet spot of the lineup. If you haven't used an electric in a long time read me.
This is my first venture back to the electric toothbrush market since an Oral B 15 years ago that I had set aside in favor of manual brushes. But unlike the earlier model, this one I'm actually a FAN of, with a few catches. There are plenty of general reviews of this item so I'm going to write this from the aforementioned perspective. I've been using it about a week now.If you’re coming from an older model, I find the pressure sensors on these new ones to be a big deal. I’m definitely guilty of brushing too hard and the pressure sensor on this proved it (and will hopefully help me fix my technique over time).Another thing I didn’t like about the old Oral-B were the vibrations. I don’t find that to be an issue on this one at all. I’m not sure if it’s because of the faster/stronger motor or the magnetic drive system vs. the old ones direct drive, but it’s noticeably better than in the past. While I originally really was not a fan of the smart toothbrush idea (I’m sure like many of y’all) my idea was that the smart features may be nice to use once in a while or for a short period of time before going without, I actually think I will end up using the app for quite a while as I’m having to retrain my hands from decades of muscle memory and bad habits. While some of the app is a little gimmicky, it does serve two really important functions to me: 1) It does help ensure I'm doing a comprehensive job of covering all areas 2) it somewhat game-ify's brushing to encourage the continuous use. I find the app very polished and it's not distracting. The cleaning is far superior to the previous Oral B “dumb” toothbrush I’ve used and to manual brushing. My teeth feel noticeably cleaner.Size is about the same as older Oral B's and from what I've seen, fairly similar to Sonicare.Battery life is more than acceptable. At the current rate it should last about 2 weeks between charges. One of the hardest decisions for people is likely which model to buy, since the lineup of these ranges from $30 to $400’ish at the moment. While the higher models do add features, the features seem WAY overpriced. IMO the highest end one (io 10) should be priced at $200 or $250. I got this during Prime Day for about half off retail and this seems like what it SHOULD cost.I agree with many other reviews that even the IO 3 series is probably sufficient if you’re very price conscious and just want a good clean with no gimmicks and no nice features.I think the 6, 7, or 8 is going to be the right model for most people. They are fairly close to each other in price so get whichever seems right to you. The main thing the 7 adds over the 6 is a faster and cleaner charging base. The main thing the 8 adds is a color screen. If you travel and really want the charging case, you’ll want the io 9 or 10, but for occasional travelers, the base model case that comes with the 4+ (and some 2 & 3 variants) + bringing your normal charger along with it, will be sufficient. Especially since the charging case uses a proprietary plug. If it used USB-C, the io 9 or 10 would be much more highly recommended. If you have tons of money to blow, go all out on the io 10. It has the one thing that I really wish the 7 had, a base that has the brush timer and zone indicator (think quadrant but instead 6 zones) on it. I think this may be nice as it probably helps keep pace without needing the smartphone. The lower models all have a quadrant timer but some people like the visual feedback without needing to use a smartphone. While I could afford the io 10, I just didn’t think it was a good enough value for such a huge price jump. I’m probably going to spend $10-15 on a MagSafe phone mount for the bathroom mirror to make the phone easier to see while brushing. This is the sweet spot for me.I think Oral-B tries to sweeten the deal or psychologically get you step up to a higher model by throwing in some extra replacement brushes on the higher models since they know the features alone don’t justify the huge price jumps between models.I would recommend looking on Google Images for "Oral B iO Series Comparison Chart" to be able to visually compare models more easily.Again at the half price I paid for this during Prime Day, I'm very happy with the purchase and think it's a great value. At non-sale price I'd probably have bought this same model, but would definitely feel a bit gouged. If you utilize the features to improve your technique, I suspect that in the long run, it will pay for itself in dental bills.

Great toothbrush!
I had my last Oral-B electric toothbrush for over 6 years before it finally stopped holding a charge, so upgrading was a must. I snagged this one on sale during Black Friday, and it's impressively high-tech! I haven’t explored the Bluetooth feature yet, but it’s clearly a fantastic value since I trust this brand for its durability. It cleans my teeth effectively, providing nice gentle vibrations with various settings for all my teeth and gum needs.**Just a heads-up for those who used the older Oral-B models—these newer ones have a pulsing vibration rather than the head rotating. I find that they do an exceptional job without missing the old style! I also love the customizable multicolored options for the ring light; it adds a fun touch! The light changes to green when I’m applying too much pressure and turns red if I’m going very hard. This toothbrush fits any Oral-B head replacements, though it suggests using the IO brush heads for the best fit. Plus, the travel case it comes with is a great addition. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase!

Amazing!
I waited way too long to replace my old Braun 7000 series that I purchased in 2019. There is no comparison. The charge lasts at least a week, the power output remains constant which was a major issue for the older model, the power output would drop off after a day. This newer model is quiet and comfortable to use. My teeth have never been so clean. Buy this io7 model, it's an incredible deal at around $100.

Absolutely worth it. Next level clean and comfort!
Ok so this is my first electric toothbrush ever and I was really skeptical about how efficient it could be compared to normal toothbrushes. Boy was I surprised! The Oral-B iO7 is in a league of its own. My first brush felt like I just left the dentists office after an oral hygiene session. It feels incredibly premium, the brush head is gentle yet super effective, and my teeth feel dentist-clean every time. The pressure sensor is a great addition for gum health, and the real time feedback helps with brushing evenly. There is also a guided brushing session through the app which makes sure you don't miss any spots. Battery life is solid, and the magnetic charger is a nice touch. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This is a serious upgrade and well worth the investment.

Best Toothbrush I’ve Ever Used — Worth Every Penny (Especially on Sale!)
This is by far the best toothbrush I’ve ever used. My teeth feel super clean every time — like I just left the dentist. I got it for $108 during an early Prime Day deal, which is a steal since the regular price is around $220. If you’re thinking about buying it, definitely try to wait for a big sale (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.).It comes with 2 brush heads, a travel charging case, and looks sleek (I got the black one). Just make sure to rinse it well and remove the brush head when storing to keep it clean.Highly recommend!

Great toothbrush
I've been using an electric toothbrush for a few months now, and honestly, it’s been a game changer for my dental routine. Right off the bat, I noticed how much cleaner my teeth feel compared to when I was using a manual brush. The built-in timer is pretty helpful too; it encourages me to brush the full two minutes, which I sometimes rushed through before. The different settings are nice, allowing me to switch things up depending on what I feel my teeth need. I also love how it’s gentle on my gums – no more soreness like I used to get. It recharges quickly, so I never have to worry about it dying on me during my morning routine. One thing I’ve really appreciated is how much less effort it takes to get that polished feeling. It feels like I just left the dentist after every brush! Of course, it’s a bit of an investment upfront compared to a regular toothbrush. I think its a little on the pricey side. Its also not very Noisy

Best tooth brush out there!!!
Best tooth brush I've ever owned. Gets my teeth clean like they've been cleaned by a dental hygentists. The app is a cool feature and I live the 7 settings that you can choose. Definitely worth the money!!!
