Great inexpensive ESXi 8 compatible RAID controller.
Works out of the box with ESXi 8. VMFS on the RAID6 virtual disk is working perfectly. Note, on newer motherboards like my Gigabyte B650 AORUS Elite AX, the old style "Ctrl-R" on boot to get to the MegaRaid setup doesn't work. However, at least in my case, there was a section in the Gigabyte BIOS GUI for attached devices that included the Megaraid setup right in the regular BIOS GUI. Otherwise, you should also be able to obtain StorCLI or something like it on Linux (or even ESXi) and setup up using that if worse comes to worst. Overall, satisfied so far. Oh, also I like the battery-free supercapacitor cache backup option. One less thing to have to constantly maintain.
