Pyrex 1110141 18pc Glass Food Storage with Multi-colored Lids

I will never go back to plastic. I love the glass. It works in the microwave, oven, dishwasher, as a dish on the table or a bowl to eat out of. Works for mixing , storing , or freezing. We are hard on our dish wear. The melting , scratching, cracking, and lack of care was a problem. The glass were is respected , and always looks good. This has made many happy gifts in our family.

Pyrex is just so damn handy to have around. I'm so fed up with plastic tupperware and how after awhile they build up residue and start to wither.That's why Pyrex is great. Anything you can stick in the oven and then leave the leftovers in that same dish is a winner for me. I love knowing I don't have to think twice if I can throw a certain bowl in the oven to reheat or cook. The design is nothing fancy just simple and efficient. I'm not sure why some people are complaining about microwaving the lids because i wouldn't think to do that. But if that deters you than yes, do not buy these. If it doesn't this is a great product. You get all the advantages of tupperware storage and the added bonus of being able to cook with them. Plus these don't get melted or worn down when you throw them in the dishwasher, a big plus. And the lids fit well, everything seems secure unlike other glass food storage products.The multicolor set is a nice option, I got these on a lightening deal for $19.99 from Woot. I couldn't be happier.My only negative comment would be that of the 9 bowls two are quite small, i don't use them as often but they are good for small batches of sauces or leftover marinade.

Why did I wait so long to buy these??? I've been trying to move from plastic to glass, and I look at these in the stores every chance I get and try to find them on sale. Up to this point, I had only bought ONE container. When I saw the sale price on this set, I had to jump on it. These are so great! Just today, I needed one of them, and I realized that I was using every single one! They were all in my fridge for storage, but I also use them for serving bowls. You know how when you're entertaining and you'd love to have matching serving bowls? Well, these are great, fresh-looking glass bowls.*On a side note...when these bowls arrived, my two 4-cup bowls were chipped around the edges. I had had a similar issue with a new Pyrex pan about 20 years ago, so I wasn't worried. They have great customer service. I called the company using the phone number that was included, and they shipped me two new bowls. The only downside was my 10 minutes on hold.

I have been wanting to get rid of ALL my plastic storage containers, you know the ones that you lost all those lids to! My entire family, including me, stores in the plastic, microwaves then eats from the plastic. That is so bad for us humans to do. When I saw these as a "hot deal" (I think that's what it's called) I immediately click the link and purchased them through my Prime account with Amazon. Free shipping and a really great price, I was in heaven. I received the package and was over whelmed with the beautiful set. The glass container sides are straight, no flaring, the lids fit snugly but are easy to snap on. Glass is thick so they will not break easily. There was so many of them, they are just perfect. Quickly disposed of all the plastic and in with the glass. Would have even paid full price for this set. Will probably purchase another set soon.

I love these bowls and lids! The bowls stack nicely and they don't leak when holding liquids.I also like that the bowls can be used in the oven as well, just make sure to remove the lids first, I missed one once by accident and by the time I realized I forgot it, it was to late.Unfortunately this time one on the 2 cup bowls was broken when it arrived, although the packaging was in great shape. I looked to see about getting a replacement online, but the computer only offered a refund. (Probably due to the fact that I ordered it as an amazon prime deal, I bought them about half off.) I just decided to keep them, as I already have a 2 cup bowl that is missing a lid (thanks to the above mentioned accident) so it all worked out okay in the end.

These are some great containers. The lids are almost like a rubbery type plastic, so they bend well enough that they are reasonably easy to open and close. I was a little surprised at how heavy the glass is, which does make the largest size just a little awkward to put into an upper cabinet.I love the idea of having food storage containers that are safer than plastic. I love being able to take them from the fridge and put them into the microwave to reheat leftovers. And I love being able to put the glass right into the dishwasher for cleanup. I would have also loved not having to hand wash the lids, but I guess I can't have everything I want. Maybe the lids are upper-dishwasher safe (not sure), but I don't trust them not to warp out of shape so I won't take the chance.

When I ordered this set some pieces were missing and broken. When I sent a complaint email they would not send the missing pieces or a replacement they just issued me a refund- which was fine, and I got to keep the set as is. I have an old set of Pyrex and it performed so well for 14 years and was hoping this would be the same quality- nope! The lids say microwave safe but they are not. When I placed the lid on the top of the dish loosely and put them in the microwave the lid gets sucked down tight on the dish causing the lid to warp and stay permanently bowed. If I hadn't ended up with the set being free I would be very very upset with the performance of this product at my cost. So if you choose to purchase this set, just place a paper towel on top of the dish when heating. Storing int the refrigerator with the kids has been fine.
