I needed a BRIGHT rechargeable light to hang in my tent, and for emergency outages, and this fits the bill! Was a little larger than expected, but good quality so I can't complain.Have not had to recharge it yet. All the modes work, but I mainly use it on the highest brightness. It's very useful with it's dimming and strobe/emergency blinking modes if I ever need them.Update: Have had this over a year now, using it several times per month (our tent is indoors, weird I know, but I use it to keep my doll collection safe from our pets). It’s very sturdy, very bright, and rechargeable. The light lasts for many hours on high. It is LIGHT YEARs ahead of the competition. I have tried other bulbs which have not been as bright, are not USB rechargeable (rather they charge by sitting in a turned on lamp socket)...each of these have screw on tops that you must unscrew to charge the bulb.The tops on both brands I’ve tried are cheap...you have to turn them tight, and the plastic starts splitting eventually.But I love this light and was true to my word...just bought a 2nd one for backup as we recently had a long power outage and the one we have really came in handy...just need more for our 2 story large house!

I purchased this light to illuminate a chick brooder without the use of a heat lamp. I needed something that would provide light all day, without being super bright or harsh.This light at the lowest setting, which is plenty sufficient for my needs, lasts all day long! I hang it in the brooder at 5am, and it's still giving plenty of light at 9pm when it's time for everyone to go to bed. It quick charges overnight so it's ready to go the next morning.I love this as a safe option to offer light to chicks. It's a nice soft light, and it doesn't seem to bother them. As soon as I set it up in the morning, they come running out from under their brooder plate peeping and flying (attempted) and rushing to food and water. Lights out at night, and they all go back to "bed".Other options I tried didn't last but a few hours before starting to dim. I don't know yet how long this light keeps going, but it's better than 14 hours.Super happy with this purchase.

This rechargeable battery lantern illuminated my work space in the kitchen when our power was out for 3 days and two nights. There are several settings so you can use the battery sparingly. I like that the on/off button is on the top by the hook so in the dark it is easy to find. The hook makes it easy to hook on the kitchen hardware. I keep one in the bedside drawer too in case of power outages.

We've had our light for nearly six months, and it has worked very well as a nightlight in an adjoining room. The charge isn't lasting quite as long as when the light was new, but considering it's run every night and some days, we've gotten our money's worth. We'll buy another one when this light finally stops working...rechargeable batteries don't last forever, but this light has lasted considerably longer than we had anticipated! The light is quite bright - too bright to serve as a nightlight in our bedroom, so placing it in the adjoining room affords us enough light so we don't step on any sleeping pets during the middle of the night. It's the perfect light for us!

it works great, I use it when I go camping, it gives you very bright light.

I also love the different settings. The dim setting is actually quite bright but there are 3 settings and two flash settings. I spent a few weeks in a tent in Utah last month where it was cold and dark- time needed to be spent inside at night. and this light was fantastic. I really only would have needed one for a 10-12X10-12 foot space.I am going to get a few for my elderly parents who still live in a woodsy area of new england where they lose power frequently. I'm pretty sure this holds a charge for long periods too. Great value !!!

The media could not be loaded. I really want to like this lantern, I really do, but it has a couple of major design flaws that has led to my 2 star rating. The light is bright and great to have around for camping or emergencies. It won't replace your everyday light needs, but it bright enough to use in the attic, basement, or night-time gardening. The USB charging capability means that it can also be hooked up to a portable solar panel to keep it charged. This is how I've been running it.So though I really like the light, there are two major issues with it. The first is that it is clearly designed to last only as long as the batteries. They aren't replaceable so once they no longer charge the light is useless. Unfortunately, mine never made it close to finding out how long that might be. I don't use the light very often, in fact, I bought as a trial to a larger investment of using solar lights for an off-grid science station. After plugging it in to recharge about 10 times, the aluminum jacket surrounding the USB plug broke off on my charging cable. You can see it in the photos. I did try a repair, but I don't have a soldering iron. As you can see, the jacket has two minuscule pins to attach it to the circuit board that it looks like it is designed to break. Fix these two flaws and you have a 5-start light, but with the current design, I say buyer beware and look elsewhere.***Update*** Bumping this review from 2 stars to 3 for good customer service. Company sent a replacement light free of charge. I haven't used it as much as the older one. It has held up so far, though the charging port still looks to be the weak point of this item and prone to breaking. My concerns about e-waste remain.
