An Absolute Deal
The Sly Collection is an amazing deal and to me totally worth $60, but I only paid $21. That's around $7 per game!Dang, I got a bargain. However, now it's around 18 bucks, which makes it worth every penny at $6 a game!!The Sly Collection is composed of 3 games: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus (Sly 1), Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. All of these games are visually upgraded from their previous versions (to the point it's obvious) and still run amazingly on the PS3 (with very minor glitches sometimes, but only visually and nothing game breaking).Even the sound is clearer! They really put effort into this remaster!!If you have played any of the Sly games before, this collection is still worth it. It brings back so many great memories.I remember in like, 6 years ago, I beat Sly 2 at least 2 times. This was my third time and was I bored at all? Nope. It was as refreshing as the first time around, if not better.Trophies are super easy. You get pretty much all of them for doing the story. Others only include buying things from the computer really (Sly 2&3), and finding all of the clue bottles (Sly 1; 2 only requires it for any one level) as well as cracking all of the safes (Sly 1). However in Sly 3, there are many many challenging challenges in the chapter select menu that you may have to do if you want to 100% the game and earn the trophy. It's seriously, with a good amount of effort, 3 easy Platinums to add to your collection (at least compared to God of War III These things are a cakewalk). I have all 3, so I think I know what I'm talking about. If you get all 3 and go left of the beginning screen (The one that says "Sly Collection") there's a special surprise.I'd rather not spoil it for you, but I will say it is kinda outdated now... (however it being outdated can be a good thing as we don't have to wait for what it's trying to tell us about anymore). The Minigames? I pretty much played them for the trophies... I'd see how they would be kinda fun with friends, but by yourself these things don't supply a lot of entertainment. The trophies are relatively easy, many of them I received on my first try.You need to at least start each game before unlocking all the minigames (ex. "Play Sly 1 to unlock Heli Race") There's a total of 4, with only 1 of them are open from the start.Don't think you had to install these games to your hard drive... just put the disc in, choose the game, and the trophy list magically appears in your trophy collection. You will need hard drive space for the saves of each game though, but that probably won't be a problem.Other small things: Reversible cover, Instruction guide is detailed but in black and white (grey) print, No clue bottles in Sly 3 (use in-game computer to get things), no comment on the 3D but some other guy said it was terrible. Oh yeah, those special moments in Sly 3 where they ask you if you would like to go 3D are taken out since the whole collection is 3D already.Ms. Ruby boss fight does have audio out of sync... but if you pay attention to the symbols you should be fine.Binocucom in Sly 3 doesn't expand completely over the screen... you can see outside of it to the left and right, but I think it's just because they optimized it for widescreen that this happened so no biggie.Amazing games for offline gamers. Thanks for reading.

EPICness
a 3D cartoony platformer from Playstation 2 days. how can you say no. if you were me 10 years ago playing all these platformers on the PS2. well. this is for you. no actually. this is for everyone. 3 awesome games that are not just games. but it feels like watching a cartoon. gameplay feels like watching a cartoon. awesome cutscene that i dont skip. which tie the story together. great games. if you started playing on a sony platform during PS3 days. man. you have seen nothing. these games were almost never released on PS3 as new sequels. these are awesome. its well remastered. and graphics are really good. definitely recommend this to anyone. its a bit of stealth and platforming. and some jumping around and basic parkour. its awesome. nice level design and controlls. but its a bit tougher than most platformers. so it will be a challenge. which is what i like. you will enjoy this game. pick this game up right now.-UPDATEJust finished the first game. awesomeness. its about 10 hours. and its purely epic. its a tough game. especially bosses. its not an easy game. but the level design and graphics and awesome. the story is probably the best I've seen. there is a comical cutscene to tie in stuff after and before each mission. cool stuff i liked this one. well. on to the second-UPDATE2Just finished the second. the gameplay was similar. but it had the right upgrades. and made it easier. in the first game. you'd need to collect 20-40 bottles of clues every level to unlock new moves. its why i ended up with 2 extra attack moves. however in the second. there are no separate levels. they put you in a medium sized open world place and you'd do missions around. and you'd buy new moves from a thief's network. so it was easier to do that. I platinum ed it on my first playthrough. and i really dont care about trophies. nice upgrades. and also. you will be able to play as any of the 3 gang members. unlike the first where you played as sly only. ofcourse each have their own missions. great sequel-UPDATE3I just finished the 3rd. its shorter than the other two. maybe because there are no bottles to collect. you can buy all moves through the thief's net. and its pretty good. the game introduced 4 more characters to be playable. 2 of them were already introduced in the other two games but you can play as them now. which some of them you will use for specific missions. very nice turn of events. enjoyable. mostly similar to the second. good game.

Better Late than Never. I'm Hooked!
I'll admit. I have no childhood memory of this game. Because when I was younger. I had a choice between this game. Or Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Obviously, to join in with the "cool kids" I got GTAVC. Not reliesing I was missing out on a lot. Just recently got into the serious, and now I'm one of Sly's biggest fans. So much fun. So thrilling. And very cunning, and devious. Of course you all should know about the story. A Robin Hood like story with a twist. Three friends who's been together since youth. One is a very agile sly thief. The other is a brainiac genius. And the third is the muscle, bronze rush into things kind of guy. And then we've got another one in the group. A sexy little Latin vixen cop. Always chasing after the Cooper Gang. The whole "raccoon being more sneaky and cunning than a fox" shebang. Summed up enough for you? Good. For only 18 bucks, this HD collection packs a mighty punch. And to think that once again, I almost let this series slide for another game. Portal 2. Great game. But couldn't fully get into it. Not like I did the Sly series anyway. Once I beat everything in this collection, I had to move on to Thieves In Time. Which is another review for another time. The game does have it's faults. Like the missions can get kind of repetitive. But what can you expect from a game, that is pretty much aimed for "younger" crowds. Would I recommend? OF COURSE! I wish I would of gotten into the series a long time ago. But better late than never. Now I'm sitting here anticipated for the next game and to see what happens next. Hopefully there won't be a 8 year absents, like Sly 3 to Sly Thieves In Time. I don't think I could wait that long for another Sly.5 out of 5!
