Spectre Performance SPE-903 Carburetor Lift Plate

Quality was great

Fit perfectly on a small block Ford (289) with 2barrel carb intake. Confirmed fit on 4 barrel also. Only note to add is use the carburetor spacer and washers to fill the gap on the studs. Your threads only go so far on the stud so the spacer and washers ensure you can firmly mount the lift plate. 289 is about 500 pounds and the loft worked fine. No warping or cracks in the welds. Recommended for quick engine removal.

What can I say? It lifted my small block Buick and transmission combo with ease and made maneuvering it way easier than chaining it to a power steering bolt and a bellhousing bolt and hoping for the best.

Well made and universal fit for a variety of applications. It's a small thing, but I also very much like that it has a sticker identifying its purpose, use and weight limitations. Economically priced and a good value for the money

This lift plate looks to be made of grade 8 steel with plenty of "meat" above the eye loops. I've noticed other companies use much thinner material above the loops. I want that baby to hold when I'm lifting hundreds of pounds.

The media could not be loaded.  Hope the video attached. If you see it, this is a Small Block Chevy 5.7L (350) with an aluminum intake manifold. The logic is, look at the diameter of the 4 carburetor studs and compare all four to the diameter of one side of a chain link. The amount of lifting power of the studs is way more than the chain. What about the intake manifold? Well, my guess is that thing would take each of your 200 lb buddies on each corner and lift them easily. Its a guess, but informed by experience and YouTube (no expertise, so don't listen to me about safety. Do your own research. I am a hack, not an expert. Stay out of the way of any heavy object you are lifting). Anyway, this thing worked. It made the job a lot easier than running chain. I felt comfortable, and the clamping force didn't change. Its a good invention. This one did its job. Wish I had trusted this sooner. Again, aways stay away from anything heavy above you, no matter what method you use.
